I take my SCX 10 into a lava tube for a new off-road adventure! Particular cave is littered with garbage and graffiti unfortunately, but it still makes for a fun and unique driving video. It also happens to be one of the only places in my area that is not covered with two feet of snow...

First Run for the Class 2 build featuring a Proline Cliffhanger body
I had a 2003 toyota 2wd prerunner and it had a rear diff locker and it said don't drive over 5mph well I was all fucked up one night it had a off road suspension I had 17" ri.s with all terrain tires and my dumb ass thought that if I locked the rear diff I could rip some donuts easier and in theory wouldn't one assume that?anyway it seemed like as soon as I floored it with the wheel turned it literally just turned over on its side it totaled it I loved that truck it was nice I miss it but might of tried that not fucked up maybe with different tires it woulda ripped idj it was the 3.4 it had the power 190hp I know 190hp wow right but a 5.0 fox body only had like 220 of that amd I know geared totally different but alot of people don't realize back in the the say it was had to squeeze a couple hundred hp out a v8
Are yall unlocking the rear diff somehow
As far as I know there is no open diff option for the scx10ii axles
@@LeichtsTamworth right the only one I know of besides a tamiya bruiser is the ar60 but only off of the axail smt10.I do t see how they didn't figure something out I'm sure the truck want to roll really really easily
@@thebigsho665 you can do a portal delete on a traxxas trx4 axle and run it locked/open like Matt on SGB did or find an OG scx10 axle and put the diff out of a smt10 in it for full time open diff action. scx10ii diff is a little small and wasn't even a consideration at the time

i built mine and it has too much toe out, I cant seem to track where its coming from
The tie rod needs to be longer then. Make the bar that connects the swing arms together longer until the wheels line up!
Hows your camber? Maybe you have the hubs switched. The tie rods dont go on the same was as on the solid axle.
I did have to mess around with the rod end lengths, if you read the instructions it says to leave one link with some threads showing, that was my issue anyway

Looking good! I’ve been considering one of these kits for a little bit. Did you do any other mods to the SCX10.ii chassis than the kit?
Thanks! The motor is a 21t dynamite motor and the shock mounts are raised in the rear to fit 110mm. I think that's all besides the kit

Thanks! It's the 69 Chevy Blazer body that was released with the SCX10 ii as an rtr a number of years ago. I had to do some modifications to make it a single cab
@@CB_pickledustalright thanks, that thing is awesome man but only thing if I were you is to get softer springs to sorta get the ride height I bit lower and center of gravity, and base the weight to the back for better traction cause of 2wd
You’re right, it needs different shocks for sure. I’m planning on getting the RC4WD 80mm Kings, I believe the 1:1 truck runs Kings.
@@CB_pickledust yeah the 1:1 dune hippie c10 runs kings but for those shocks get 90mm or 100mm shocks.
