Device Drivers:
A device driver is a computer program that operates or controls a particular type of device that is attached to a computer
Device Driver in computing refers to a special kind of software program or a specific type of software application that controls a specific hardware device that enables different hardware devices to communicate with the computer’s Operating System. A device driver communicates with the computer hardware by computer subsystem or computer bus connected to the hardware.
To communicate with a device, the OS needs a driver based on that device.
Ex. you connect the printer, our OS doesn't know how to communicate to the printer. Install that printer drivers , so now the OS system knows to communicate to the printer.
Device Management:
RUN/Search - Devmgmt.msc
Search - Device Manager
Control Panel - Device Manager
Devices like Network Adapter (NIC Card), Printer., not working or not working properly.
Go to Device Manager - find device - open device properties
- In General Tab - Device working properly or not (Or) check for error status
- Driver Tab - Update driver or RollBack Driver
- Uninstall drivers and restart your PC

My DHCP suddenly stopped distributing IPs. In "Address Leases" no IP appears, it is blank. I tried authorizing, stopping the service, starting it and restarting it, but "Address Leases" still remains blank. The Ipv4 and Ipv6 symbols are with their green checks, even so the service does not distribute IP. Could you give me some recommendation? I'd be really grateful. Thanks in advance!
Check Server IP address, make sure Server IP address and DHCP Scope in Same Network (both network id must same. Check Client Connectivity -configure ip addr to client(manually) and as per server ip , do ping test, and chage client ip address to automatic Try these Thanks
@@latifshaik Thank you for taking the time, reading and giving me your recommendation, I really appreciate it! Everything seems to be in order, ie DHCP Scop and server are on the same network segment. This has not been touched or manipulated, only that the DHCP service is not delivering IP to the computers. This DHCP is from the domain controller that I have in a virtual machine on Hyper-V. Obviously, because the DHCP service is not working, I cannot reach (ping) this virtual from anywhere. This virtual has its IP, mask, and DNS settings fixed, all on the same network segment. As I mentioned, everything was working fine, only that, suddenly, it stopped distributing IP to the devices. I have configured the network card of the physical server (which is not in the domain) with a fixed IP, and with the DNS of the domain controller, so everything worked fine for me, WiFi, etc. I had to shut down the virtual machine, change the DNS on the physical server to a public one so that the users can have DHCP and internet from the main router, and that's how they are working. I also had to put the shared folder in another location (outside domain) where each user doesn't have to authenticate and can see their files. My hands are tied since I don't know where else to look.

We can make a bootable application (with the computers language) that can use BIOS function to use and comunicate with the hardware components to load and run executable files. These executable files do not need to have a special enviroment of an OS.
