Just an editing mistake. I recorded an SM57 mic at the amp speaker and an SM58 mic further back in the room. They recorded to a stereo track in Audacity. When I added the audio to did not think to separate and mix the stereo tracks. I was listening on my desktop speakers and did not realize what I had done until after I posted the video.

@Chris-fg7sn You cannot set chord progressions that I have seen. Everything works very similar to the free version so you can generate a few songs and see if it does what you want. I also recommend suno.com which is a website AI music generator. It has more options and the music it generates is very similar to Donna. I have read that the Donna app actually uses Suno in the background to generate the songs. You still cannot specify chords but you can upload a music sample and it will generate a song using the sample as a reference. So far you can only upload up to 60 seconds of audio, at least with the free version.

@user-ig6oy7mx1y As far as I can tell it is phone or tablet only. I have used on my Android phone and galaxy tablet. For this video I connected my tablet to my computer and shared the screen by putting the tablet in development mode. For the laptop I would recommend suno.com, The songs created by Suno sound very similar to Donna and you can do a lot more in the free version of Suno. I have seen people say that Donna is using Suno to generate the songs. I started with Donna but now I use Suno and Udio, so far just the free versions of each with great results.

I have not tried to make a duet although it sometimes adds harmony vocals on its own.

@hazelnutcoconut123 not sure if I understand your question but you have to choose one or the other. If you choose create with description then Donna will write the lyrics. The description can be very simple but must be at least 10 characters long.

I have done more with Suno than Udio and I do like Suno a little better but this result from Udio surprised my how much the music sounds like old Jefferson Airplane and the vocal sounds like Marty Balin.

@com1000 I just looked through the Donna AI songs I have saved and the longest one is 4 minutes. I have generated a lot of songs but I downloaded 10 of the best ones. They average about 3 minutes each. The shortest one I created was about 1 1/2 minutes but I gave it one verse of lyrics. I am using the paid version, maybe the free version is more limited?

With Donna you can remove the vocal track but that is all, but you can download the song and then load into a site like www.lalal.ai/ which can separate the "stems" or tracks. So you can get the tracks without drums and then add your own beats. I have not done this yet myself but plan to try it when I have some time.

I don't have good advice for this because I have not made it happen. For me it is just a hobby. The only money I have made with music is playing live shows and that ain't much.

It must have been a common problem since they have fixes in place now. Mine had no side screws and kept breaking loose until I added them. I did transport it a lot to practice and gigs.

@jennifertate4667 unfortunately you cannot edit once the song is created. I am about to post another video where I show the song download process and what is available. You can download the song and you can share which sends a download link to email or text. You can also separate the vocal and music to create a backing track and isolated vocal. So you could put in a DAW and then add you own vocal.

Not good. I will say I had mixed results with the genre settings. If I pick one radically different say Metal versus Reggae you can tell the difference but a lot of them seem to be the same. It is still a lyric writers dream because it can give you back a song that makes a decent demo. It takes me 3-4 try's per song to get a listenable result. There are a couple of changes that could make it much more useful. first to be able to edit the lyric and regenerate the exact same result as before. Say you make a mistake with one word and an otherwise great song is ruined and you can never get back to the same point and just edit that one mistake. Also if this was exportable to a DAW with individual tracks it would open up another world.

Is best to have chat GPT generate the lyrics, and then put the lyrics into Donna, and it will generate the full song in whatever genre.

​@@Dr.TuRon_DavisI was gonna say something like this. I'm not a professional song writer by any stretch, but I have written quite a few poems in my day. Though the poems are in no way formatted to work as song lyrics, when I paste my poems as lyrics, Donna generates a song that's decently long, somewhere around 3:00-3:30. Of course it takes a lot of liberties with the lyrics and the end product really sounds nothing like the original poem. It cuts a lot out, repeats lines where they don't make sense, and makes up a few of its own if the rhyme pattern changes too much. But I've noticed that's the trick to getting longer songs - writing more structured lyrics. Keep the syllable and line count consistent between verses. For example, make two verses of 7 lines with this syllable pattern 5 5 5 7 5 5 7 See what it generates for you. I noticed this when I generated a song from a poem that was 32 or so lines, no breaks, all 7 syllables, written in iambic pentameter. It followed the lyrics 100%, no edits, created an amazing chorus, and the music was perfectly suited to the feeling. It actually turned it into a somewhat decent song. I never imagined it with music, but the end result was very impressive, much like I would imagine it to sound when I wrote it. So structure is important, the rhythm. Not so much the words themselves, but how they sound.

@mikewebb2376 on Linux Mint go to the software app and install scrcpy. Then on an android phone (not sure about apple) enable developer options and turn on usb debugging in developer options. Plug your phone into your computer with USB. I'm not sure. I've not had that issue. Be careful if you open it. it can shock you even if unplugged due to capacitors that hold electricity. Not a big deal if you are careful to handle by the chassis and not touch components.

I love the 30 watt, but the 15 watt is the one I play most. It is just so easy to grab and go with the small combo and does the job for practice and gigs (mic'd).

Yeah, it freaked me out at first because I had only ever done a truss rod adjustment once before. I overdid it and had to take it to a guitar tech. This time, a very small adjustment fixed the problem and has been great since.

@rachelgroth7108 There are multiple structures on the site and the one around that time is not the main pyramid. That said, a lot of the site is reconstructed. The main pyramid has obviously been rebuilt, not sure when but there are metal storm drains on the top, built into structure, you can see them in another one of my videos.
