Some good choices. Would have added Went the Day Well and a few others. Would have also removed a few oddities.

I'll recommend two British movies that always get overlooked: 10 Rillington Place (1971) and Scum (1979). Both are well worth watching.

A list that has The Big Lebowski and Tokyo Story past the 200 mark has some serious problems.

No The Hamilton women, or Waterloo bridge.

Rome Open City is a masterpiece, so is Viridiana...But there are some very strange choices here such as Dumbo. And don't get me started on The Third Man.....

Local Hero is an absolute dross film, seriously overrated. A subplot of a movie.

I want to see RAGAD so bad! Criminal law is a great movie, M. Cambell knows the job.

If I should pick a movie to make you see in the bunch I'd go with YOL Unbelivable movie and backstory

I have seen 188 of these and own 121 of them on Blu-ray, DVD and yes, even a few on videocassette for which l still have a player. The highest rated film l have not seen is Beau Travail and my favourite listed is Late Spring with the wonderful Setsuko Hara. There are about 20 l have not heard of. The worst film on the list in my opinion is Daisies which is available on TH-cam if you are feeling masochistic.

Hi you named a lot of westerns, you didn't have high noon ahead of all the other westerns you fluncked high noon should have been somewhere in the top 50 I thought the list really was not that good this is coming more from a European point of movie. Some of my favorit silent films are here: GREED, THE CROWD, CITY LIGHTS, SHERLOCK JR., BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN, SUNRISE, MODERN TIMES, THE GENERAL, INTOLEERANCE. It is quite gratifying..and how luchky we are to still have them, often restored, so we may delight in them with the same clarity as audiences originally beheld.

Heard of them all, probably seen 85/90% of them. I would agree with many, but not all, some missing i think should be there, and others i would not have on there. No surprise to see only 1 film from this century on there, just highlights how much the quality of cinema has declined, due to their agenda etc.

I've seen 95 of the 100 movies listed. My favorite movies on the list are: Casablanca, All About Eve, The Maltese Falcon, Rear Window, All the President's Men, and The Sixth Sense. The first movie I ever saw at the theater when I was 4 or 5 years old was #100 - Ben Hur. I also loved horses so the chariot races really got my attention.

99/100 The only one I wasn't familiar with was Swing Time.

One of the worst lists of best films of all time I've ever seen....! The folks at Imdb don't seem to know much about great films..... A lot of these on this list aren't even films....
