I'M SWITCHING TO SONY! But is it better than fuji? Sony A7C Review
I've been using my Fujifilm X-E1 for photography for a LONG time now, but it might be time to jump on the sony train.
In this video, I was going to try to compare Fuji to Sony, but it turned into more of an A7C review.

Dante is ethernet... Not IP. Aes67 for the win.
Dante is definitely IP
Dante is many technologies working together. This includes both Ethernet at the data link layer and IPv4. Aes67 is how audio data is placed into RTP units. Dante is a more complete solution and can even incorporate Aes67. This is my understanding at the moment.

Some of the popular AoIP protocols used in live and broadcast audio include AES67/Ravenna (ALCNetworX), RockNET (Riedel), Q-LAN (QSC), WheatNet-IP (Wheatstone), AES67+ or Livewire+ (Axia Audio, now The Telos Alliance), and Dante (Audinate).

Wouldn't the better option been to get a Fuji X-t4 which is a hybrid camera since you already are in the fuji ecosystem.

i found this very helpful - but man i wish there was some more detail about aoip drivers. a local nonprofit radio station uses wheatnet-ip and they want a backup audio logger. i'd like this to be a virtual machine running linux but i can't tell if that's technically possible due to a lack of an aoip driver that's compatible.
Hi Micha! Thanks for the comment, I'll be making a video on drivers and how they all interact with different systems soon, just got some cool stuff setup in the lab to demo! As far as audio logging on linux in a VM, It is technically possible, as long as you can figure out the proper way to decode wheatnet-ip. I am doing this exact thing at work with Livewire and an RTP dump utility + ffmpeg to get audio into linux without a driver. I dont know enough about wheatnet-ip to really give a good suggestion, but I would first try to see if you can get an RTP dump, maybe start with wireshark and try to get an idea of what port the protocol is running on and see if its something you can decode.
For a second I thought you had a ton of cables sprouting from the bmpcc 4k in the thumbnail to make it compatible with the gimbal. Turns out it was the pot plant in the background.

Probebly bot, meine Set up wighs about 3 kg without any battety but as far as i know can the ronin sc only handel 2 kg of payload. Maby the ronin s Suites your intetsts more
Kinda surprised there are no comments here... but I’ll be honest, I didn’t really hear a difference between the Tascam recorder and the CEntrance recorder. I’m using Apple AirPods, so maybe the difference is just inaudible to me with these headphones. That said - I’m very interested in the device. Thanks for the review.
TH-cam audio doesn’t really permit one to hear the quality of these preamps. Some reviews test it with hardware and there is very little noise. Way less than the zoom h-series somewhat less than the zoom f-series. The preamps are really pro-quality.
Pardon me, how did you manage to plug in both USB-C cables into the BMPCC 4K (meaning the cable from the SAMSUNG T5 as well as the one coming from the DJI Ronin Focus Motor)? Many thanks!
I was looking closely at his set up and it looks like he didn’t even connect the rig to his camera. i just bought a duo usb-c female adapter but i had to return it bcus it was a faulty one. i’m waiting on the new one, i can let you know how that goes bcus if it works then it’s problem solved
The ronin follow focus comes with a special mounting plate that has a splitter attached!

Can you check and tell me whether these AirPods can connect to two mobile phones one iPhone and second android phone simultaneously since jabra 65t and jabra 75t can connect to two phones simultaneously. If apples one can also connect that would be good . Otherwise I would say people who keep two phones should buy jabra 65t or jabra 75t.
After a few months of shooting .. what's your verdict? How's the footage? Thinking of buying a BMPCC for real estate shooting but .. only have the SC right now and dont' really have the funds to replace everything in my kit.
nice to see some are trying to do that. Any footage to look made with this setup ? Because being able to balance it is one thing, having UNshaky footage from it is another, which I have not found yet. Cheers !
ive been able to get stable footage with it.. you just need to tune for this load once you get it balanced. and then set good pan/tilt settings for smoothness

I like cfast, and I'll probably throw one in there at some point, but the cost per gig is much more worth it to go the SSD route even if I am losing a little bit of speed. I may look into it more to see if there are any major performance trade offs at some point, but for now the SSD works best for me.
