As a Bears fan I wanted Coach McGuire to stay. The players were right. Joey excites and motivates wherever football players congregate. His W/L record speaks for itself.
I have a lot of respect for Dave Aranda but also think McGuire would have been a great coach for Baylor too
Thanks for a great summary of the game & program. Even though “bleak” is a heartbreaking outlook, at least we have two weeks to mentally prepare ourselves. Well done.
Hey Mosley! Great podcast. Just tuning in. One thing I wanted to share. I was seated near the team in Boulder last weekend and I kept my eyes on Arranda. Holy moly, I could read his lips at times and he got fired up! I didn't know he had that in him. We were all so happy to see that fire. Hope it continues. Sic'em! Perge!
any thoughts on gordon pulling up as the colorado WR caught it instead of trying to pop him and dislodge the ball? 1. flat footed 2. late 3. didn't attempt to make a play on anything. why is he even on the field?
I was born an Aggie live in Tennessee now but my father used to tell me stories of him being friends with Tony Franklin and Brad Duseik. At the time he worked at Trim Binder I think was the name. Anyway he always would say he knew the best kicker/barefoot kicker ever. Just in case TF See's this comment... "Bob Hysmith said hi old buddy".
@ 42:00 THE REST OF THE STORY. In the ‘70’s, when TTU would score into the south end zone at Jones Stadium , the fans (especially the Saddle Tramps) would goad their kickers to ‘knock out a window’ in the AD’s office. I don’t remember anyone coming even close. So in that A&M game, first it was Bubba Bean taking 90+yards to the house, then it was this wimpy looking kid who couldn’t even afford a pair of shoes put the ball in the middle of 6th Street. For TTU it was all downhill from there. For some reason I am not surprised to hear that Tech wouldn’t give TF the time of day. Revenge IS sweet.
Grew up watching Franklin kick for the Patriots. Made some big kicks in their Super Bowl run in 85. 🔥👍
The Purple Cloud……happy birthday!
The schedule is a killer
That hat is fire. No Cap😏🤣
Most of the time I watch a podcast but this one was awesome I’m a Uk fan
UK is proud to have AB
❤
Great to hear from Coach AB. Go BBN
Kentucky is the only school with five coaches to win NCAA championships. Add one more very soon!
Facts, well uconn has had a few different coaches win as well. But here is an interesting fact. Coaches Tubby Smith, Rick Pitino, and john Calipari all pretty much built their legacy at Kentucky and spent their peak years there.
@@Wetrockstah2116 Calipari built and DESTROYED his legacy at Kentucky.
@@atlantic_love eh, he definitely has been on a downward spiral as of the last few years. He definitely had his peak years at UK. The man didn't start recruiting at an elite level until he got to Kentucky.
@@Wetrockstah2116 no Cal was at his peak at Memphis got him signed to UK.. his Derek Rose last college year 30-1 record I think
@@StariYTube1 bro with all due respect plz either know what you're saying or do some research before you comment about something. Cals best year at Memphis was with Drose yes, they finished 38-2 that season. He had some decent teams there and the Drose team is one of the best he has had, but he had multiple teams at UK like that, plus he actually won a championship in 2012 with a 38-2 record. He didn't start stacking the talent he is known for until he arrived at UK. He had two teams at Kentucky that won 38 games, the 12' and 15' team. 38-2 and 38-1. He has always been a decent recruiter but he didn't start stacking classes until he got to Kentucky. He had the John wall and DeMarcus cousins team that finished 35-3, and the two 38 win teams. To keep it 💯 his "peak", was definitely started at Memphis his last year, then until like 2017. So 2008-2017 was his peak years as a coach. He definitely isn't the same coach he once was now, he is older, he lost his long time assistant John Robic who was a huge reason he had the success he did, and I just don't think he has the same hunger or energy anymore. He is A Hof coach who's best years are behind him. He might have a couple good years at Arkansas maybe, but I don't see him being there longer than 5 years.
Boston defense was amazing granted. Kyri legacy takes a hit you had time to prepare
In fairness, Tatum, Brown, White n Jrue can play him defensively so he’s constantly having to find ways to get his shot off in that series. So disappointing but congrats to Boston
Pep who???
