THANK YOU! I appreciate you showing us your process! I'm also a soup guy, and the sauté feature for your recipe sold this for me...along with all the other settings. The difference is I will do this for my chicken veggi soups. I googled and beef broth can be great mixed with chicken soup. Just put your carrots in as soon as you start the soup after the onions saute! after the french onion soup is made, then SLOW cook your chicken with carrots (if you want carrots. you use any veggies you like) You slow cook the chicken for 4 hours. If you want to do brocoli, add it after 2 hours cooking. (Me and my ex actually had this instapot and all we ever did was speed cook the chickens. We never used any other functions. Believe me if you want good chicken soup...do the time and slow cook it. So I just ordered me one.) then after all this time eat for sure...but once you get the soup out of the instapot...take enough of the broth only to cover your chicken bones, that you will put back into the instapot so you can do bone broth...slow cooking it for 12 hours. Then strain out the broth from the bones, and put the super broth back into the soup, so the next time you eat it, it is supercharged with healthy REAL not watered down bone broth. Look up the health benefits of making bone broth. Use a free range chicken like whole foods has. Your saute onions will make my soup soooo much better! God bless
