Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. John 8:11b And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Watkins UMC was my church family from the very beginning of the church in 1961 till I graduated college in 1977. My parents, Gene & Libby were founding members under the leadership of Rev. Bill Bowling. Dad and Mom were also members of the choir led first by Bill Bergdoll and then Dr. Louie Bailey. We actually started the church in the small cafeteria at Westport Road High school. So many memories, so many people, so many great relationships, even some that continue today.
