Events info: Night meets are the following, 1st Saturday of the month is Flemington markets, 2nd Saturday of the months is Penrith homemaker. 3rd Saturday of the month is Greenway Wetherill Park, 4th Saturday of the month is Harry's cafe de wheels Liverpool. All start 6pm. As for Sunday morning meets, all start 7am, 1st Sunday of the month is Fidler Rouse Hill, 2nd Sunday of the month is, Bungaribee park. These are the regular events I know and don't follow a calendar as I know these off by heart.

This John Goss special is one of my all time favourite cars and how special is it to have your old man's ride still in the family "WoW". It's nice to see a great eye for detail - original 3pce white OM's blend in seamlessly, those BP decals are a nice touch and even a hint of the body colour sewn into the recaro's with the same factory pattern outstanding....! Whether a blue or green J Goss that race track livery always stood out from the crowd. Love this coupe thx George.

Judging from the low views I got of the cars leaving all Ford day I saw there wasn't much interest in the cars leaving so I decided against wasting another vid of cars leaving All Holden Day. Instead I have another 3 vids of all Holden day which will go up on the channel one at a time soon.

You are correct. All Phase 3's sold in 1971 came with 5 slot steel rims and that is how the Phase 3's raced at Bathurst that year with 5 slots. Then for the 1972 season Ford wanted to homologate the alloy globes so in order to get around having to make and sell another 300 Phase 3's with the new homologated rims, they just sent out the rims to all purchasers of the 1971 cars. I could be wrong but I believe that's how the story goes. I still think the XW GT especially in that electric blue colour was the pinnacle of muscle cars in Australia where they weren't even allowed to modify the exhaust to side exit for Bathurst in 1970. Ran them exactly to every nut and bolt like they came off the showroom floor with the exception of a very mild roll cage and belt harnesses? After 1970 the cars got slightly modded more and more every year to the point where by the end of the 70's they were very different to the showroom cars. I think 1971 was the first year they allowed the side exit of exhaust at Bathurst. 1969 cars were even more standard. I think they weren't even allowed belt harnesses for safety. They had to run whatever seat belts came with the car or could be optioned. I mean you look at footage from 1969 and there are Monaro's and GT's with number plates in the race. So these cars were registered and driven on public roads before the race. Crazy to think for the day real race cars were sold to the public. Yes I know bla bla your average hot hatch today blah blah. But that isn't the point. This is why these cars are so valuable. It's not just the way they look. It is their true race heritage. Not many cars can claim that anymore not even Porsche or Ferrari with the way they are overly modified for production car racing. It was a different time. Owning one of these cars from that era is like owning a piece of Australian automotive racing history.

@@trevorcook6197 You don't have to apologise. I understand I too didn't like the way this video came out. I don't know if you're a regular viewer or not but if you are, you would have seen 99% of my other 300 or so videos are smooth in the filming department and shaky fast movements is not a regular characteristic of this channel, however on this occasion it was very windy and I struggled to keep the camera still. Add to that my carpel tunnel syndrome and unfortunately that was the result I got.
