This song sucks. She was watching a commercial about starving children and decided to "help" them by singing a little louder, running a little faster, and telling her mom she misses her and loving a little bigger. All of those things that she is doing might be helping her, but the starving children are still a little hungrier. Ridiculous song sung by a ridiculous twat.

It was so nice hearing this live on your visit to our little town of Jefferson, OH. Emily and Butter are awesome and watching the video and getting to see your sponsored child is a bonus. Best wishes for continued success, you deserve it.

I love this song and music video on so many levels! The message serves as a reminder not to forget the little things that make a relationship fun without sounding preachy. The music video's style adds a certain romance and fun fit to the message and really shows off the group.

My good side sees this as a genuine aid effort with all proceeds going to the poor. Bad side says its the lowest way to gain attention for the band. Please tell me its the former.

sometimes stepping into someone else's shoes is not necessary... I kinda agree with Lee on this.... USA got all the resources to improve one's life.. It's just a matter of seeing those opportunity and grasping it... Why do you think every citizen around the world has their own American Dream? It's because they saw the opportunity... Even non-English speaking citizens will do whatever it takes to get into the USA. As they say "Our choices is the architect of our future". We always have a choice!

My friends listen to pop and rock music, they don't understand why i listen to country music :( but i am proud of my musical preference! country singers have the biggest souls and hearts, they write lyrics that warm our hearts and make us think. When people ask me "why country?" i will be sure to send them here because it's artists like this that make me fall in love with this genre over and over again, whenever i hear them sing! such an inspirational band, with such amazing voices. Thank you

People no longer have many opportunities to improve themselves and provide a better life for their children than they had. Social mobility is the ability to improve yourself. Today Americans enjoy less economic mobility than their peers in Canada and much of Western Europe. The fact that our wealthy nation has so much poverty is a failing of our society, our government, and our economy. It is not something to blame on any individual; it is a flaw in the system.

This is not necessarily true, some percentage of america's homeless cannot just "get a job" or "help themselves". A percentage are uneducated, and a majority are Vets. Just because someone is homeless doesn't mean they have chosen there life. Its very naive to say someone is choosing their life without stepping into their shoes.

Clearly I'm not being selfish, more like opinionated. If we have so many resources, then why is it still a problem in the U.S? Don't bitch out and say b/c people aren't trying hard enough, etc. It's a problem here, it's a huge problem. I've seen way too many people struggle and I've given a lot of money to the homeless here in the U.S. So I still stand by what I said; help yourself first, so you can be in a position to help others.

Id disagree, the majority Ive come across have some sort of mental illness that would severely hinder them from helping themselves toward "a better life" I understand what you are saying, and you have good intentions, but generalizations like that can be hurtful

Your only 23, so your experience is not as vast as you claim. However, this is the underlying beauty of music, not everyone will hear and appreciate what the other hears and experiences within the song. Cheers!

It's because the southern hemisphere is in poverty, and (No offence to anyone and this isn't racist) they normally have darker skin. I could also be linked to Ethiopia, because they were struck by famine pretty badly and quite alot of them have dark skin. As I said, I don't mean to offend anyone or/and be racist :)

Well, aren't you nice! Yes.. Starships is a good song but that doesn't mean you have to put others music down! That's your opinion so it will be respected.. I actually like this song, really nice to listen to when working in English or just want down time!! so thumbs up :) But this does kinda sounds like our New Zealand song. by Jamie McDell - 'You'll Never Take That Away'
