@@Lostathomelikethat depends on the type of game. It is certainly not modern hardware, but you'd still be able to load some programs on it but if you put a dedicated graphics card and it will be much better.

@@Lostathomelikethat it's going to have to be a low profile card so that does limit your options. If you can afford it I would do a 3050 low profile. They're about $175 USD. If that's too much then I would recommend maybe a 1650 low profile or a GTX 730. Just keep in mind that a lot of the cards in the low profile category are just not all that powerful

According to the HP forums that is something that is common on that model that can simple fail for no reason.

Because it needed a specific software that only runs on 7. Certainly not ideal but it's what we had to do

Depends how much money you want to spend! You can get a modern optiplex with a 13th or 14th gen Intel which is going to be amazing at retro games. We could also do something similar with a 6 or 8th gen Intel and achieve still decent results. It's all very dependent on which games you want to play

@@MubiruJayson-n1y that really depends on the age of the battery. I typically get about 4 hours on this machine now . But I remember when I got closer to 8 hours

Yes there is as apart of the Vertex AI family. for STT you'll need to use the Google enterprise: Cloud Speech-to-Text API | and for TTS the Google enterprise Cloud Text-to-Speech API

You're right, it depends on what you're trying to do. More RAM with keeping both SSDs is a very solid option! for this setup though the max it is going to need is 64 for my emulation library. The original SSD went on to another system.

@@kuba8316 depends on your expectations. I3 is still a really good model. Way better than Pentium or Celeron. So it will still be fast just not as great at multi tasking as the i5 model
