people don't like this movie because the mom ended up being alive which the story sounded like she died so if she was dead which sounds weird, but it may have made the movie get better reviews
same, and I just found out people hated this movie, when I watched this as a child it made my imagination better. Idk why people hate it it is really underrated.
This is the lesson of the never feel darkness inside it’s hard to but most of the time just feel your sunshine🌺🥀 just feel the happy flower inside you not the dead one
Note: whoever made this wonder movie you almost made me cry:💗 The happiness is the heart The sadness is the broken heart💔 darkness is not stronger sunshine is☀️
This damn movie had no clue the emotional hard left turn it would take! It goes to sad places but overall amazing and bright. This movie and deserves more recognition!!
It wasnt really a left turn, it's a really clever and poignant sub plot that totally goes over the heads of the intended audience. It's almost 2 separate stories. I was starting watching it, just expecting a minions movie, and then out of nowhere I had to double take when I noticed the mum clutch her chest in the background..., did I just see that?.., and then it was wtf!?. When she runs after the car, and realizes she caused the park to fall apart. But the annoying thing is NOBODY else in the film notices or acknowledges her sadness, ever, not her dad, her grandparents, her friends, the mascots, it was really jarring, she had no comfort. Her dad is so dismissive of her feeling down. It's as though the idea of her mom being sick was dropped mostly as a plot point..., and then picked up again at the end. But the end is cutesified disney copyright out, the dark cloud is still there, which to me implies her mom came home because she didn't have much time left. They didn't really close that part of the plot well at all, ever her moms answer to "are you back" was quite non committal. They should have made a silly fantasy park movie, or a cancer movie, instead they made mediocre parts of the former and heart wrenching scenes of the latter, squashed them together, but completely neither narrative to satisfaction. It's my only criticism. They lacked conviction to compleeetly explore loss
I don't understand why it got a negative response from viewers... Honestly this is one of the very few movies I found in these 10-12 years that really had a great moral and creativity... It deals with a child's wonderful imagination that could later eventually become her goal in life if not for the fact that she lost her best buddy (her mom) for a while (I'm really so glad that her mother didn't die) which made her give in to hear fear that resulted in her loosing her spark for her passion. As she mysteriously went up to Wonder Park which she had only made up in her mind.... She realized that this world would be destroyed if she stopped her creativity and charm that she has for it and how much it could benefit others in the future. In the end she realized what her mother's words meant "to keep the light her heart glistening".
I watched this movie with my nieces. The moment the mom tries to talk to her daughter I had to walk away. I can't fathom how much it's hurt for a child dealing with cancer. I was an adult when my mother lost her battle with cancer.
...I mean, I can’t say this movie is good...but when I heard people saying this is one of the worst animated films of the year...at the time I guess...but now, it’s not really that bad

fr it has a great storyline idk why people say it has bad pacing.
I like this tune of the music instead of the original tune of the song. Love Grace's voice.
