Sammut’s “Four Rotations” have become some of the most frequently performed works for solo marimba. In “Four Rotations” all the mallets are important, because they use the “single alternating strokes” in both the melody and accompaniment.

As a middle-aged adult like most in this scene, I find this scene touching since we are all still kids inside imho... Despite what our bodies now say! lol
LOVE TIM ALLEN (GEMINI) (THE 2 PEOPLE) 😇👹
0:48............................"I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)" was the #1 song on the day my sister was born, April 13th, 1987!!!!!
You can always tell a great year for pop music by the number of new songs which topped the AT40 chart. 33 #1s in a single year! The competition was *fierce*!
The best voice and dg ❤❤❤❤
Loved it grew up with these even though I don't celebrate it. I felt the emotion. 1 and 2 were good. Didn't like 3.
💪🏼
Damn I miss those days, that great music,
why is it so slow?
It's whatever speed DJ Casper recorded it: th-cam.com/video/EWBLyKB9Ok8/w-d-xo.html
Awesome Dave
I started listening to The Top 40 around the middle of August of 74 and bthe first NO. 1 song was THE NIGHT CHICAGO DIED by PAPER LACE
TH-cam know I love videos like thunderstorms cause I'm obsessed with it and thier entertaining me nice video😊❤
Very cool. wow
I listen him all the time in the 70's!! Thank you so much ❤!!
This is the biggest cha cha slide I ever seen That's like 10,000 people
1975 every song was the best
Their movement reminds me of the Zaouli Dance from the Ivory Coast.
That’s awesome!
crap doesn't fly out of someone's mouth like that🤦
Yep, actually, it does. If you've never seen it or experienced it, consider yourself lucky!
so gross this is a terrible gimmick🤦🤢😖😖😖😖😖
The poon is very sweet
I don't think this montage was in chronological order. 1974s went from January to November and did not include songs from either December 73 or December 74. If this was in chronological order and went fron November 74 to November 75, the songs would have been in this order. "You Haven’t Done Nothin’" (Stevie Wonder) “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” (Bachman-Turner Overdrive) “Whatever Gets You thru the Night” (John Lennon) “I Can Help” (Billy Swan) “Kung Fu Fighting” (Carl Douglas) “Cat’s in the Cradle” (Harry Chapin) “Angie Baby” (Helen Reddy) “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” (Elton John) “Mandy” (Barry Manilow) “Please Mr. Postman” (The Carpenters) “Laughter in the Rain” (Neil Sedaka) “Fire” (Ohio Players) “You’re No Good” (Linda Ronstadt) “Pick Up the Pieces” (Average White Band) “Best of My Love” (Eagles) “Have You Never Been Mellow” (Olivia Newton-John) “Black Water” (The Doobie Brothers) “My Eyes Adored You” (Frankie Valli) “Lady Marmalade” (Labelle) “Lovin’ You” (Minnie Riperton) “Philadelphia Freedom” (Elton John Band) “(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song” (BJ Thomas) “He Don’t Love You; Like I Love You” (Tony Orlando and Dawn) “Shining Star” (Earth, Wind & Fire) “Before the Next Teardrop Falls” (Freddy Fender) “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” (John Denver) “Sister Golden Hair” (America) “Love Will Keep Us Together” (Captain & Tennille) “Listen to What the Man Said” (Paul McCarthy & Wings) “The Hustle” (Van McCoy) “One of These Nights” (Eagles) “Jive Talkin’” (Bee Gees) “Fallin’ in Love” (Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds) “Get Down Tonight” (KC and the Sunshine Band) “Rhinestone Cowboy” (Glen Campbell) “Fame” (David Bowie) “I’m Sorry/Calypso” (John Denver) “Bad Blood” (Neil Sedaka)
This year, his voice, brings me back to Ohio 1975 in my bedroom, with my tape recorder. The best year.

So many years now, this genius scene still chokes me up. One of the most brilliant movie scenes ever.
This scene makes me cry this whole scene reminds me what probably every millennial feels like. I can relate!

You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet by BTO and I Can Help by Billy Swan were also in the montage for 1974. BTO and Fame by David Bowie were in this montage twice!
AHHHHH HELL TO THE YES!!!!!!
Wasn't born yet but the music sounded great in 74
This was cool. I know I wasn't born yet but I'm pretty sure the music sounded great in 75
I was always musically uninclined. I didn't notice this scene when I was little.. Ok young.. Ok younger than NOW. They were truly dancing with the photo copier. Thanks for the video. I really, REALLY wanted to see this scene and check what I missed. Thanks David.
You're supposed to do a 90° turn when he says "turn it up"?!! 🤯. Everyone in Britain does a 360! 😅😅😅
Island Girl by Elton John went to #1 in 1975, why isn't it in the montage?
Back in the day, he had an early cutoff. Since Island Girl was a November #1, my guess is that it missed the cutoff and was in the countdown the following year.
@@daviddevol8957 That's what i thought also, so i listened to the #1 hits of 1976 but it starts with Saturday Night by BCR and Casey mentions it was the first #1 of 1976 so i guess the songs that hit #1 in november and december of 1975 never made it in the countdown.
Why is FLY ROBIN FLY by Silver Convention not included?
Hit #1 in late November, early December, a month after the 75 chart year ended.
if enough ppl do it it probably do noise snd tremors like the taylor swift concerts
TSOP The Best Song!!
RIP Dj Casper , this was legendary
There was a lot of No. 1's in 1974. There were no dominate songs in that year.
I Remember Listening to This. Great 😃👍 Memories. Mr Kasem definitely deserve to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame LEGENDS
When Carol said "Come here" it was a winning moment for Scott cause he knew he's going to get some. Scott and Carol's relationship was very beautiful and special. This is my favorite scene in the film. It was so beautiful when Scott gave Carol the Baby Doll and how she was struggling with her feelings. I love how he was observing carefully her reactions and waiting for her next move. He knew she wanted him just as much as he wanted her. The passion and heat between them was steamy. It's great to see this ethical and emotional dilemma with Carol regarding her feelings for Scott. She knew she shouldn't feel this way about him. There's always been the attraction between them but she tried to fight it, not only because of her job, but because of her loyalty to Charlie. She kept her feelings suppressed because she was afraid what others might think. But what she failed to realize is that the more she kept her feelings locked up the more difficult it became for her to control them. She knew that eventually she's going to give into them even when she didn't want to. She knew that it wasn't just forbidden but it was also unthinkable and irresponsible to get personally involved with a student's parent. But the same time it was exciting for her. Scott's actions hurt Carol deeply because he betrayed her trust by sleeping with her without telling her he's Santa. It's not that she didn't believe that he truly loved her, it's that she refused to believe that he COULD love her. Carol has always had a very low self-esteem. She tried to hate him for what he did because she was terrified of admitting her love for him. Scott is the only man Carol has ever been in love with. Scott really touched Carol's soul. He touched on her inner child and innocence that she locked away a long time ago. He reawakened her humanity. He saved her in every possible way.
I remember hearing this on the original broadcast. I was 11. ❤ i may actually have it on a cassette somewhere.
Enjoyed the video. Great catch. I thought the squirrel was still alive. I don't think the squirrel had a chance.
I listened to the entire program in 1987. I had it recorded on a cassette back then. He was a great!
