Tattoo aftercare Your tattooist should tell you how to take care of your tattoo and if there is anything that doesn't look right contact your tattooer about your concerns and they can give you the advice you need And if it doesn't improve after doing that probably best to go to the doctor 1. Keep it covered for as long as your tattooer has told you there will be a bit of blood and oozing but that's completely normal in the first few days 2. Clean it 2 a day with antibacterial soap don't use anything rough best just to use your clean hands to gently wash then pat gentle dry do not rub and try not to use anything harsh when cleaning and continue to moisturise (you can ask your tattooer what you should use to moisture's with, I personally use tattoo goo) throughout the day when your tattoo feels dry/irritated but try not to do it to often if not needed 3. Try to avoid having your tattoo in water (you can have a bath/shower) but trying not to soak it so avoid going swimming 4. Try to keep it covered from the sun so wear light loose clothing to also keep the airflow for your skin to breath 5. Your tattoo should start to scab in the first few days of being tattooed which its normal and you'll notice that it would also started to feel itchy but don't scratch it or pick at the scabs and let them fall of on it's own, I know it will be difficult but it will affect your tattoo 6. Your tattoo will normally looked healed between 2-3 weeks but everybody is different so it could take less or longer to finish healing, at this point it there shouldn't be anymore scabs, when you see no more scabs and it looks healed it should be safe to soak the tattoo, but keep moisturising if it feels dry Also I forgot to mention that if you do decide to use any sort of numbing cream for your tattoo apportionment please let your tattooer know that you've applied some (just in case you have a reaction to the cream) And from that point onwards you should be fine but make sure you stick to your tattooers advice as they know what's best for your tattoo Thank for watching I hope this video was helpful
