Q: When unlocked, what is the top speed available using *throttle only* (i.e. no-pedal)? Some reviews say *20mph* others *28mph* ??

Can u make it go faster than 28mph?

I’ve just restricted mine, but now the pedal assist doesn’t work. Any ideas? What I’ve done wrong anybody?

Hello sir I would like to know if u can help of course. I just got my bike have been charging it until my charger goes green. But when I removed the charger and turned on the display it said only 3 bars..? Can anyone help with this please. I appreciate it and thank you.

Just one more question once you do this unlock dose it allow you to go over 15.5 MPH while using the pedal assist or is it just for the use of the throttle? Thanks

I must have some restriction because when I keep the + button pressed the menu goes through all the P very quickly, it doesn't stay at P1 like in the video. Bummer because I feel it's powerful but it doesn't go faster than 32km/h

How do I get the throttle to work on my EU version

Do you have trouble with the key. Takes me ages to turn on

When i try to hold the +symbol alone it starts scrolling through all the options and if i continue to hold the button nothing but i can definitely get into the menu idk im outbin America. I would really like my throttle to go a bit faster yeeehaww 😊! Please lmk if you have an idea maybe im pushing the wrong buttons idk, but ill make a video later on but so far i love this bike its awesome!

I eventually unlocked mine. And it’s MENTAL 😂 😂😂. The private roads are getting used a lot round here.

Hello, I bought a bike a few weeks ago. The throttle button, the throttle pedal, does not work. It is stuck. I just walk on the bike on the pedals. I tried to turn it on from the settings, but I was not able to. Please help. I want to turn on the throttle button. The throttle button.😢😢

Great bike. I got my Engwe L20 the other day. Fast when unlocked. Not quite as fast as this one. 25mph. But i absolutely love it.

Yea,I can see the MPH and the PAS digital display and think the speed will also depend on the good raods

That clicking is just because the housing on the gear cable has stretched a bit. When they’re new and you put some miles on the bike. You just need to tighten the gear cable up a bit. See the barrel adjuster near the gears on the back wheel? Turn that a quarter turn anti clockwise. A bit at a time until the clicking stops and you get smooth gear changes through all the gears. It seems scary, but it’s easy.

after doing this my speed got unlocked to 100 but now I have an error 5 on the main display. The throttle also stopped working, can anyone help? I have the same bike, pro engine 2.0

yep, uk model is limited to comply with the uk law. Unlocking it with the method shown makes it fantastic for private land 😉 I expect that lots of UK youtubers that were sent early bikes for review were probably given the EU version or perhaps the US one. It seems that if there is a -6 on the numbers on the back, or on a new line, then it is the limited UK variant of the display. Also, all sizes including the folded width (55cm), are on their website.

I just have 01P and 03 below. no mention of “bl” next to it. When I try this manipulation. I have the menu which scrolls 01, 02 etc...

So essentially it sounds like you're not happy with the fact it's locked, but that's down to UK laws that it's limited to 15.5mph in regards to the motor helping you, not the fault of the bike itself. Sounds like you quite clearly prefer something road illegal with just throttle that you don't have to pedal that can go 20-25mph+ and with that you'd be looking for at least a 750w model and if you don't want to exert any effort it seems like a torque sensor may not be your best bet for an e-bike type, you're better off going cadence sensor and not torque, or just buy a moped.

Shame you don’t sound too happy with it. Like you say. Rubbish when locked. Pretty great when unlocked. Also about the road not normally being busy. I frigging hate when that happens. The world has a way of messing with us. 😡🤣

Thanks for the video, i will give it a go. Anyone know how we can add another battery pack to this bike? I'm getting around 28 miles on PA, I'm having to charge it after 4 trips, not ideal. Any suggestions?

Tried this on an EU version, didn't get it to work. When holding down the plus button the menu just starts stepping through the program numbers after a few seconds. My 01P only says "03" and not "bl 03" as yours says. Maybe the UK version has some different settings there. Hopefully someone figures it out on the EU-model. So still only ~31km/h on the throttle thats unlocked.
