Woow! this is the type of video I was looking for for a long time, I don't know anything about marketing strategies, but for sure I know that Nine Star Studios did something to put in the eye of everyone this couple, keeping in mind that is a company really small, if you compare it with other youtube channels such as Idol Factory or Star Hunter Entertainment you can see that NineStar Studios is a baby, still tho they were able to keep alive the whole blank project and to make FayeYoko one of the most popular couples in Thai, My question is, what would be their main income? the TH-cam account or the events? Because I am pretty sure they need to get enough to pay them and to realise new projects.

I really appreciate how the show changed Khun Nueng's reaction to Folk's stalking. because in the book was like "haha do it again" kind of vibe LOL it is one of the changes they made that I appreciate the most, along with how Chet finds out about them being in a relationship in season 2 and the pictures he provides, because what he does in the book it touches extreme levels of weird 🤐😨 grandma's face camera focus along with the ominous music when she found the drawings, is such a peak telenovella moment 🤣the soap was high with that one

I think Khun Nueng feels safe enough to just give the minimum of info to this girl, because 1. she doesn't know who she is 2. she has only received praise and love from her, so she kinda plays along? one moment this is clear is when they are at the gallery, and Anueng asks her "do you know why you dont love anyone yet?" and Khun Nueng asks back "why" or when she takes the praise of being talented, and even brags a little.

one interesting thing Ice said at some point, is that Faye helped her and Marissa to navigate the intimacy scenes so they looked authentic. now I dont know the orientation of Ice or Marissa, and whether that played a role in their scenes, but I think more than orientation, for Ice at least, it played a role that this was her first acting job. something that I think 9stars nailed with the production overall, was to 1. hire queer people 2. actually care enough to give those queer people a voice in production. with Faye of course during the acting process. I think the show is very aware of being queer rep, and not just a show with two girls kissing. the reason blank has my heart is this

I dont think as a fandom talk enough about Khun Nueng being a total glutton😂 she finds herself in uncomfortable situation so many times during the show simply because she cant say no to food :P

Im glad that someone is critically analising this. Not just this series specifically, I think if you're going to watch it from a subjective point of view, but for most if not all of the GL series that have come out. Its fairly new in their parts of the world as opposed to the BL community which i accidentally happened upon and honestly if you get the chance I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. Blew my mind with the difference. Where the GL series content comes out as engaging and romantic and conservative even that its much more easily marketed towards the whole family and not just the LGBT community the male version is much more western in its portrayal and perhaps too provocative for the average household. Im not sure what forms of media these series are showcased on, internationally we stream but surely they are being broadcasted on television. I wonder what if at all the effects of screening time and which days to air the show effect the success of the couple. Gap the series and the love team Englot were both introduced as a Saturday night series and they blew up internationally quiet easily compared to some of the other series and love teams that are out there. But you've got a subscriber. Its interesting how this genre of tv has blown up so vastly in the past 2 years. It exposes the country as overtly accepting, understanding and a somewhat open society as a whole. And that just has my mind teeming with questions. But I am willing to wait and watch it play out.

If it continues successfully for them then this could go exponential for them on marketing reach with subsequent project releases and attract the project funding that they require for their future. Insurgent (gorilla) social media marketing is a high-risk high-reward methodology for a breakout media company but Wan has realized that she truly struck gold with this couple for her first production project and probably has accelerated her business plan to 'grab onto' the opportunity 😏

your analysis is so on point. I have lost count of how many times I have watched the show, and since I myself love meta analysis, the way they have directed the show and navigated the storyline is top notch. I recently also read the book, and dialogue wise I was very surprised of how close the show is. But now that I have the full picture of both, I can confidentially say that the show elevated the story and characters where it needed, and cut down from the book where it was too much. no spoilers for the book, just a comment on its structure. it is written in first person and the narrator is Khun Nueng exclusively, that by default brings limitations on the other characters development as they are all seen from the prism of the protagonist and their stories are limited to the interactions the character has with the others. what the series managed was to develop the rest of the cast masterfully, without diverting from the source material too much. Especially with Anueng, it was important to give her character a story beyond her interactions with Khun Nueng, and how she is viewing her. Khun Nueng in the books is also slightly different, and that difference is significant to me so I prefer the series Khun Nueng million times more. I think Faye who has incredible acting abilities and uses her whole body to act, delivers entire pages of story without speaking a word. the show's writer and director who took the book and made into the series, have a very deep understanding of the characters and all their choices of diverting from the source material worked excellently. as for the artistry, cinematography, and overall photography of the series, they did an amazing job, especially considering they had no sponsors and the budget was limited. having consumed other Thai series (both GL(Gap and affair) and mostly ch7 soaps that Faye was having a role in) the way 9 stars studios made use of light, is so important to me LOL, also the slow motion trope was only used in like 2 moments in the entire series, and very strategically, that enhanced the importance of the scene rather than slow mo the scene to make it significant (the amount of times I have rolled my eyes over the slow motion and the blinding holy light in all those other shows, is a mystery how my eyes still remain in their sockets hahaha) my first reaction to Anueng's "childish" behaviour was brushed off the moment Khun Nueng showed no effect on it LOL, then Anueng's moment of saying "i love you" solidified to me that the whole thing was an act, and after that all her "childish" scenes I was entertained and thought she was just acting like a brat. the whole point was for us to be annoyed by her so we could understand how Khun Nueng felt, me thinks. as for the age gap story line, in my opinion, the series (and the book for that matter) dealt with, in a realistic approach, the series was more nuanced than the book, I dont think the author really cared to be nuanced like the show, but I do appreciate what the show did. the fact that it got so much backlash and some even had to spread lies about the age of Anueng, was so hypocritical, it's not like there are no age gap shows in thailand LOL in fact Faye herself had roles in 2 such shows and in both cases, the younger one was 1. 16~17, 2. she didn't actively chase after the older person, 3. she was pursued by the older person, 4. the older person would plant himself in her life, kiss her without consent, etc, 5. it would take the girl a lot of time to look at him in a romantic way, 6. she was actively rejecting his advances, and he would not take no for an answer. 7. Faye was the woman he would dump to be with the teenager (THE AUDACITY LOL) one show was set in the 50~60s, and the guy was like in his late 20s, and the girl was a family member, and the other show the guy was like late 30s widowed man with a kid, who accidentally killed the girl's father, and then he planted himself in her life, and offered marriage when the girl literally hated him LOL

Ахахахаха😂. Та если бы - тайцы тоже ловят культурный шок от поведения Анынг. Но им хорошо удалось показать рост персонажа Анынг, персонаж, которому дали самый большой рост во всей вселенной Планой. В новелле чуть лучше объясняется мотивация Кзун Нынг... А так - большинство бросает сериал после первой серии или после второй. Объяснений её ребяческому поведению несколько: она старается казаться младше своего возраста, чтобы мимикрировать под окружение, так как она старше своих сверстников, плюс еще и воспитываемая авторитарной бабушкой, так что ей это нужно, чтобы выжить в коллективе подростковом. Так что в основном - ребячество, это маска. Во всяком случае по версии сериала, с другой стороны - в новелле говорится, что это из-за того, что ей очень комфортно с Кхун Нынг, что она может дурачиться и веселиться.

Вот и мне понравилась игра Айс, но большинство зрителей бланка пришли к сериалу после просмотра гапа - истории Сам и Мон. Поэтому искали ассоциации и вайб той Сам. И зря, всё же это абсолютно другая история, в ней по-другому расставлены акценты. Бланк - мой первый тайский сериал, но с тех пор я посмотрела весь тайский гл, и даже теперь читаю новеллы, но только как досмотрю сериал целиком, конечно. Хорошо, что гап мне не попался первым 😂 а то бы я бросила еще на трейлере просмотр😅
