I kept this truck going for my father for years before he stopped driving. Years later I’m still driving it. I used to do all of the big repairs, and I still do some but these days Reimels Automotive keeps her maintained and anything else I don’t want to touch and Lou’s Custom Exhaust keeps her quiet. I’m surprised that a V-Block with DOHC and variable timing would last like this. I’ve done thi...

And because the screws don't have a threadless shank it will try to lift the top piece of wood unless you press down.
So true. Good point!
I believe those were interior screws.
I believe you're right. Oh well, they'll last a little while
@trashpanda1999 nope, those were indeed Exterior Screws. The guy had been Mickey mousing this deck for years. My instructions were to do the absolute minimum. Yes, this deck doesn’t have much longer but the owner doesn’t either, so there are his priorities
@CaretakerTomm I'll take your word for it. I understand what you mean, there's a lot of older folks who unfortunately are barely getting by on their income and savings. Its sad really. I wish you both well good sir
Hey you guys were right! I have to dash over and throw some Timberlocks in and start reading the boxes better. No wonder Dude gave them to me!
Zinc coated is for outside(shiny goldish), epoxy coated screws are exterior, black oxide or untreated is for interior.
1488 пасхалко пасхалко
I’m not sure what you mean by “1488 Easter egg, Easter egg “ but sure.
Oohh, wow!! How cool is this? 🦆❤️🎉❤️🦆
Check out Baby Goose Family. I just posted it. It’s the larger of the two families around. The smaller family lost some babies
That’s funny

Bro has waaaay to many accent marks
🤣 Love it! Reminds me of my dad💚
I thought it was my understanding that everyone had heard
First
That, is a cellar spider.
Better than having 16 bounties on your forehead
Could be a jumper?
Yeah honestly I have to agree dear poop
After thinking on this I realize that it’s probably deer poop.
Tools for brazing
Brazing, an outdated welding method that for some freak reason I excel at (God’s credit, not mine). Grandpa never explained those when he taught me to braze when I was 12. I imagine they must be rod holders with the hole at the end? Undoubtedly pliers are often needed for rough shaping etc as you go along.
Your dad is a thief nothing to be proud of
Awesome
Set a timer, work on it 2 hours, stop, come back the next day. Don't get frustrated, it didn't get that way overnight 😊
Same here, My Dad passed away and he had a 32X32X30 garage filled exactly like this. The amount of stuff was absolutely insane.
Ouch!
I have my garage and office to do..procrastination is not our friend is it?
Nope, so I’m doing my Swiss cleaning now. Paring down to the very basics. I don’t want others cleaning up after me.
OMG we had the same issue with my father-in-law. It took us 3 months to just clean out his 2 car garage and 12 ft shed. I feel your pain. We had 2 dumpsters delivered to haul away trash…wood, foam, carpeting, metal, empty cleaning containers, broken chairs, broken desks, mildewed books, magazines, and trash. We had to make 4 trips to drop off chemicals at the county waste disposal site.
Imagine how wonderful it would’ve been to clean it up with him so you could learn all the stories behind the items? Of course nothing much would end up thrown away… but the stories.
I couldn’t even get him to clean his room! I helped him bring most of the really old stuff in when we were young and I know all of his kits and goodies. The old German wasn’t really a talker but between his cancer and Moms dementia I used to try to draw him out to distract him and I’d get some gems.
@@CaretakerTomm I totally hear you and can completely picture it in my mind. Wish I was somewhere nearby so I could come give you a hand with it. There will be some awesome treasures amongst it. Best of luck bud
I'm kind of a hoarder too...my son is starting to get rid of some of our stuff... he's a good son
That’s excellent! I’m so glad you two are close
When you only make so much money, you have to save that stuff so you could use your money somewhere else, money was tight back then 🙏❤️
Wow!😊
I love to clean if you are in Massachusetts I can help clean
I feel for u so many people wouldn't let go of sh**.
Looks a little like how my dads shop looked when he passed ❤
That has to be so hard for you losing them so quickly but I put that was so awesome for them. Please don't panic and now there's a lot of value around you you can make some money and I pray the Lord brings you an angel to help you
Mine even saved tin foil. I miss them so much 😢
Pieces of tin foil in several folded collections, plastic butter containers, mason jars, mason jars, string, dead batteries, etc yep. Oh, did I mention mason jars?
That generation saved everything. May both your parents rest in peace for all eternity. You did good Tom…🙏🏻❤️
Remember how your dad felt tinkering in his room, u will feel his❤
When we cleaned up dads shop we had 40 gallons of bolts .
Oh yeah, boxes of bolts, buckets of nails, every extra fastener from every job… it just goes on!
Godspeed! Well done! 18 hours apart!
Yes I feel for you. I'm kind of a hoarder myself so I can understand the logic that goes along with that. And that happens a lot when a couple goes they don't want to be alone without their life partner. Best of luck to you and stay strong
Yeah you mounted them in a hand turn drill then you tap it with a hammer and slowly work your way threw the material
That is what they are so you can make square holes for square pins
I believe that the small hexagon with four square openings is a die to shape rough wood into square lengths
Saw-horse bracket.
The frame of a sawhorse
It looks like a mini sawhorse stand contraption
1950 saw horse brackets
Saw horse fitting for legs meeting top, variations still in use today, and, I believe the second one is a sink drain plug to keep large food particles from going down the drain.
The small round piece is for turning taps to cut threads.
I see it now.
Others agree its a saw horse bracket. (Or a Renaissance era torture device.) The 2nd item looks like a meat grinder--or something similar like a pasta* maker--discharge die. Just a socket fit, probably w/ a threaded retention collar. *I'm not sure if it's pasta, present or future.
Sawhorse bracket, all day long. Insert 4-1x4s for legs and a cross brace.
The 2nd one is for taps .
Looks like a sawhorse bracket. There should be two of them. That one looks narrower than most, like it's for use with 1x4's instead of 2x4's, like most are today. Edit: I just googled the patent no 1953012 and it shows it to be a sawhorse bracket.
pretty sure the first item is part of a saw horse.
its an machine oiler , they used them on trains and steam engines ,
Thank you. I imagine you insert the oil into the closable hole as needed. That explains the flow circuit. Now I feel even stupider because it’s so simple now that I know.
