These units are so underrated. I got a pair of them and they sound good on anything. Even when pushed hard.
Hey, yeah they totally are. Not so great for solving surgical problems but great for shaping the sound to a point, where you not even have to care about the small problems in EQ anymore. Cheers Markus

Ein tolles Video. Ich mag solche "Making of`s" sehr. Schön den vorher/nachher Vergleich zu hören. Es sieht immer alles so einfach aus ... ja, scheiße ... ist es aber nicht. ML-Studio hat Ahnung. Das konnte man deutlich hören. Wenn seine Band auch bei ML aufgenommen hat, wovon ich mal ausgehe, ist es perfekt. Hätte ich eine neue Band würde ich bim Markus mal aufnehmen. Was die Tonstudios bzw die Regieräume heute " mickrig " aussehen im Vergleich zu früher. Da stand ne fette Bandmaschine, ein tolles 24 Spur Mischpult etc.. in den Räumen, was ich genial fand damals. Gemastert haben wir früher nicht (Mitte/Ende der 80iger) bzw haben es damals beim Pauler gemacht, der die Matritzen angefertigt hat. Das waren auch schöne fette Geräte, wo die Frequenzen etc. angehoben, angepasst etc. wurden. Als junger Bengel war das echt ein riesen Erlebnis und Erfahrung beim ersten mal. Ich bin kein Fan von der Digitaltechnik. Es hat natürlich enorme Vorteile und ich gebrauche es auch für mich zum Musik machen. Jaja, manchmal haben olle Männer Anpassungsschwierigkeiten. :-)
Hallo Peter, da darfst du dich beim großartigen Frank bedanken :) Vielen Dank für die Komplimente, schön zu lesen und zu wissen, dass wir Menschen mit dem kleinen Video etwas unterhalten konnten. Die Technik geht weiter aber Charme der alten Technik besteht da auch noch immer und da wird auch immer noch mit gearbeitet.

Hey Chris, i didnt wanna irritate everyone. So what are you going to use the eq´s for? Im still using mine but more for the easy things like toms on a drum recording. If you got more questions dont hesitate to ask. Would love to help you on this problem. Cheers Markus
I was going to buy two to shape all my stereo channels in my productions. But i don't think they are the right choice. The price is nice but i don't like the sound so much. I think i will buy the elysia stereo eq or the hrk channelstrips. Or both haha

The ribbon on the Superlux rolls off the top end, and tames the harshness. Being figure 8 might cause issues though.

Thanks alot, really appreciate your comment. I´ve always loved to tutor and to give some good knowledge to others. :D Its pretty handy to do it with the duplicated track and gives you more independence, especially when struggling with bleed.

Thanks again, i´ve changed the comment a little. ;) Yeah sometimes you use a plug and experiment with it, hearing that it makes a difference. I think its totally ok not to know what it exactly it does as long as you can find a good for it.
