THIS one thing absolutely kills my confidence on the bike 😩... not riding frequently enough. As a rider, consistency is key. Every time I go a week or more without riding, I notice a dip in my confidence.I start feeling hesitant, second-guessing myself & my abilities, and that smooth flow feels distant. The longer I go without riding, the more anxious I feel when I get back on. Anyone else feel the same?!?! Well, here’s the good news...your muscle memory is there to back you up, & with a few strategies, you can regain your confidence quickly. But first, LIKE & SAVE 💾 this post for later. • Start Slow After Time Off: The first ride after a break doesn’t have to be a big adventure. Find a low-pressure environment to help you get back into the rhythm without any added stress. Use this time to focus on the basics-throttle control, braking, and balancing-until you feel your confidence starting to return. • Trust Your Muscle Memory: Even after a few weeks off, your body remembers the mechanics of riding.Trust that! It may feel a bit awkward for the first few minutes, but you’ll notice that your muscle memory kicks in faster than expected. Practice some slow-speed maneuvers to shake off the initial nerves, and you’ll quickly feel more comfortable. • Ride in a Familiar Area First: Confidence comes from familiarity, so after some time off the bike, choose routes you know well. It's the weight that makes it easier to handle. My Duke 390 for some reason feels like it's on rails as it's always trying to stay up right compared to my 650cc which is 50kg more heavier and easier to turn and corner.

For us female riders... (Especially us shorties) there are certain things you'll need to consider when purchasing your bike... First, make sure to LIKE & SAVE 💾 this post for later. Now, 3 things to consider when purchasing your first bike; • SEAT HEIGHT- this varies on bikes so find a bike with a lower seat height that you are comfortable with. (you don't need to put both feet flat on the ground, but make sure you can put at least your left foot flat while your right foot is on the rear brake.) • WEIGHT- you are likely going to drop your bike, especially as a beginner. Managing motorcycle weight is more about technique than overall strength. For your first bike, consider something less heavy • POWER- start with a bike in a lower cc class. I been leaning to.wards this helmet as well. I originally had a Shoei RF1200 a few years back and than switched to a Bell which fitment wise doesn’t come close to a Shoei.

Need a zx-14rr or a turbo busa.. But seriously it seems like you keep blaming the bike lol. Staying safe and riding in your limits is what’s important. Practice going full throttle and shifting at redline on the MT. you will be able to keep up just fine under 100mph.

Can't really commute in interstates the way you want to? what speed are you going at? The Mt-03 can hit 80 and 90 mph without issue. Are you commuting at over 100 or something?

Hehe, you could have gone faster if you threw caution to the wind. Though sometimes it’s better to be cautions than fast. Always racing the Ducati v4 aren’t cha. Lololol. You should switch bikes and I reckon he’d still be faster.

Good video. I'll vote with you on practicing slow speed maneuvers. Riding fast takes no skill. All riding skills require a foundation of slow speed maneuvers.

Excellent choice of helmet, I've had it for 2 years now and I am super happy with it. Lucky for you that the GT Air 3 wasn't available in the US as the GT Air 2 is actually a better helmet. And naturally cheaper than the new version. I didn’t know Cardo have an adapter for the Sena slot on Shoei helmets, thanks for that useful info!

I’m 62 and I just learned how to ride

I watched this expecting some kind of failure. There was none. You had some hiccups and poor luck but handled yourself and the bike. This kind of thing happens to EVERY rider. See that big burly guy on an old Flathead Harley? He's had the same thing happen to him. Same goes for the guy dressed like Rossi on a GP replica. You did great and most of all learned how to do things more-better. Well done and have fun.
