The general consensus is that "vintage" is between 20 and 100 years old, so the portfolio is right in the middle of "vintage". And I agree that this and the other McQuarrie Star Wars portfolios are magnificent: beautifully reproduced art, quality paper stock, gorgeous colours. So glad I bought them when they were released.

My three rules of making Star Wars Models: Detail, Damage, Dirt. Also, look into using Tamiya dry powder acrylics for detailing, they are useful for rust, wear, and a number of other applications.

If you want star wars space battles fan films, look up SkyForge. There are a lot of animations and short films going on. If you are looking for more Empire stuff, there is IMPS the Relentless. The series only goes up to 3 chapters so far, it looks like they have more but their progress is taking years.

The third star destroyer that the Y-wings tried to bomb is an interdictor, it prevents the enemy ships from jumping to hyperspace which is pretty neat

I think people tend to forget that the Empire had to be really effective and competent to reign control over an entire galaxy unmatched for a significant period of time - and this short shows that.

X-Wing and Tie Fighter were the first games that I played on my first own computer. And this film is amazingly accurate to the game. When you played it for 200 hours, you can see a lot of moments that are just like they worked or looked in the game.

Try Star Wars: X-Wing by NobleEngine, it's based a bit more on the Legends continuity but is really good

This accurately captures the feel of playing _X-wing_ or _TIE Fighter_ back in the day.

This reminds me of the 3 video tapes for "Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future", where they were a lot like this.

This is basically how 95 percent of battles between the Empire and the Rebels ended. The only reason the Rebels won was because Palpatine made no plans for a successor in case of his death and the Empire tore itself apart in a massive civil war. If anyone brings up that heresy called operation Cinder let's just say I find your lack of faith disturbing.
