Diving the Saudi Arabian Red Sea 2024
มุมมอง 2542 หลายเดือนก่อน
I spent 1 week onboard liveaboard M/Y Almonda diving the Red Sea from Saudi Arabia. These dive sites (Seven Sisters and Five Corals) are further South than the Egyptian part of the Red Sea. The main attraction for myself was having every dive site to ourselves. And of course the schooling hammerheads, which unfortunately didn't make the final cut, due to having the camera on the wrong settings ...

มุมมอง 78410 หลายเดือนก่อน
I was lucky enough to spend 2 weeks on board the Mari liveaboard exploring the beautiful underwater world of Raja Ampat. There was so much to see and explore that it made the job of shortlisting clips to use in this video very difficult.
Scuba Diving the Beautiful Banda Sea, Indonesia
มุมมอง 1.3K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
I spent one week onboard the beautiful Amaya Explorer liveaboard diving the Banda Sea, Indonesia. Sometimes it felt as though there were too many fishes, as you struggled to see the reef through the 1000's of schooling fish. There were many highlights, but for myself it was the opportunity to see schooling hammerheads at Suanggi, and the many olive sea snakes at Manuk Island. I've also uploaded...
Sea Snakes of Manuk Island, Banda Sea, Indonesia
มุมมอง 820ปีที่แล้ว
As part of a 4 week long dive trip to the Banda Sea & Raja Ampat, Indonesia, I had the opportunity to spend a whole day diving with these beautiful (but potentially deadly) olive sea snakes. They grow up to 2m long and are highly venomous, with their bite lethal to humans. Fortunately they are not aggressive, although curious and will swim up to and around divers. It was mesmerising to watch th...
Hammerhead Heaven - Scuba Diving the Galapagos Islands
มุมมอง 2.5Kปีที่แล้ว
One week spent on the Galapagos Aggressor III liveaboard, diving some amazing dive sites around the Galapagos Islands. This included 12 dives at Wolf and Darwin and between them there were hammerheads on most dives, several whalesharks, lots of eagle rays and too many turtles to count.
Iceland Volcano Eruption at Litli Hrútur 20-26 July 2023 (7 Days of Stunning Drone Footage)
มุมมอง 220Kปีที่แล้ว
I spent 7 days exploring all possible angles to marvel at one of natures greatest spectacles - an erupting volcano. This is the third year in a row an eruption has taken place around Fagradalsfjall, on the Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland. I have some incredible drone footage of the eruption which I’m excited to share.
Unique Close-up Footage of Tiger Sharks - Fuvahmulah, Maldives
มุมมอง 7Kปีที่แล้ว
This is the full movie covering 2 weeks of filming the Tiger Sharks of Fuvahmulah. Fuvahmulah is located just south of the equator and is one of the Maldives most southern islands, where over 160 individual tiger sharks have been identified. It is thought that hundreds more are regular visitors to the waters around the island, making it quite possibly the home of the largest concentration of ti...
Swimming with Orcas & Humpbacks, Norway 2022
มุมมอง 18Kปีที่แล้ว
The MS Sula (Orca Norway) is based in Skjervoy, in the far north of Norway (in the Artic Circle). I spent 6 days onboard the liveaboard looking for Orcas and Humpback Whales to swim with. As you'll see from the video it was a very successful week swimming with these magnificent creatures.
Diving the Biorock, Pemuteran, Bali
มุมมอง 2.9K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This video gives a brief overview of the Biorock coral reef conservation and restoration project in Pemuteran, North West Bali, Indonesia. A remarkable project that was implemented in the year 2000 to help repair the damaged caused by destructive fishing back in the 90's. The working principle is to supply low-voltage electricity to submerged metal structures and so stimulate coral growth.
Iceland Volcano - Into the Canyon

After 6 months of more or less constant eruption, Volcano Fagradalsfjall decide to take a rest. Once the volcano stopped erupting, the massive river of lava subsided and left the canyon you see in this video.

Which islands did you take this video at ? Especially the first five minutes, where was it please ?
I was on a dive boat sailing across the Banda Sea, so not just one island. The hammerheads were at Suangi, and the 1000’s of fish at most dive sites. The dive boats pretty much go to the same islands and dive sites.
@ So, if I’m traveling from Jakarta, which island should I go first? The main Banda island ?
@@dhakaboy1the liveaboards depart from Ambon, which is a direct flight from Jakarta. You’d need to book in advance though. Go onto the website of Liveaboard.com
Awesome video graphics. Most of them look man made. There are lines within the flattened areas. Also the tend to have their centres or edges crossing the centre of edge of the circle. The one near Stonehenge looks mire 'Alien' built. Plus there looks to be a romn road crossing the field. If you film a crop ciecles go back the following year. Proper crop circles affect the area for year's
@@SimonAmazingClarke thanks for the info. I filmed them because they look cool and interesting from the air.
@SteveColliganUK Absolutely and I totally agree. I was just giving my 'professional' input.
hy, did you film with the gopro ? did you use specific settings ?
Yes, a GoPro. Setting were 1080p full HD at 25fps
@@SteveColliganUK Any special settings with the ISO ?
ISO in auto

That must have been incredible to watch! The visuals from drone footage really capture the scale and beauty of volcanic eruptions. What aspect of the eruption impressed you the most?
@@GlobalCatastropheTV I’m pleased you liked the video. To answer your question… it would be how fluid the lava flowed - as if it was water. Also the heat from the lava is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before.
@@SteveColliganUK oh
Wow!
Which company?
Orca Norway

If you find one of these in the ocean they might look scary but they are actually harmless and if they were to attack you it wouldn’t hurt very much

Steveeeeee! We haven't seen this one yet! Tonight I am going to show it to Jordi :) Such a wonderful video,. I especially enjoyed the way you approached to the plate coral where the little fishes go in and out, veeeeeeeery professional shot! And I loved the fist song. Bali was one of our first diving destinations, many years ago. We dived 4 times in Liberty wreck alone (no more divers). I remember that there were a school of pumped parrotfish at the bow, are they still there? Congrats for this new amazing video and mores kissesssss!!!!
As always, it's much appreciated when you comment on my videos, as we both go through the same time consuming exercise with the editing. The Bumbhead parrotfish have not been there for a couple of years now. 🙁Thank you 💙

Great video!!! Curious - can you make a video about the equipment (camera, etc.) that you use.
I’m pleased you liked the video. The equipment I use is a GoPro, so it wouldn’t be so interesting making a video about that.
Great video Steve
Dove this 1st year in 2001!! Loving how it has turned out! The giant dome with the hole in the top is from them. Thus the greater amount of growth.
Hi boyfriend...you have a pump; it for my flat bike tire? 😢 10:38
amazing.....one of my bucket list ! btw Im from Sabah.
Gorgeous!
Oh nice volcano 🌋
Geat video
when you said schooling hammerhead sharks ...how many of them? at which depth in meter? Saudi for me still like a dream as a solo female diver ,...I am not sure if I could reach there but I guess Liveaboard will take care of everything! I still do some research for Mikomoto island in Japan for Hammerhead diving , it looks very promising haha but who knows..it's an Ocean! Great job on your film love it.
Hi @oneworld3719, I’m pleased you liked the video. To be honest, it wasn’t one of my more interesting videos, but I guess it’s all relative. We saw schooling hammers several times in Saudi. I can’t remember the exact depth, but they weren’t too deep. Possibly between 20-30 metres. The schools were between 3-15 of them. Saudi is easy to travel. You just fly into Jeddah and they pick you up from the airport, take you to the boat (liveaboard) and return you to the airport when finished. Easy. Enjoy yourself on Fuvahmulah this month. You’ll love it.
@@SteveColliganUK I have watch your Fuvahmulah film like more than 10times 😁 I don’t see any extra dive site but only Tiger zoo point.. then I wonder if you also dive another dive sites as well or focus just Tiger sharks point where near the pier ? Yours position where you have filmed was excellent!!!! I don’t know how you did it perhaps stick GoPro inside Tuna‘s head? 🤣 Thank you so much ☺️ I fly there this Sunday and Monday will be my first ever seeing Tiger ab close ( hopefully 🤞🏻)
@@oneworld3719there’s lots of other dive site. Each dive shop will do 3 dives a day usually (a deep, reef and tiger zoo). Enjoy.
Look at Hamilton love you see you see that that is molten lava and actually it'll burn your whole body and in 10 seconds I mean 10 minutes you mean
Bro, what's your next to volcano? Why why would you do that you could get killed by the lava like on bottom of you like inside of the volcano you can get kicked down Lear and you might get burned in the poisonous lava cup actually kill you and actually you should never come to these islands again, because they have volcanoes in Hawaii and you should never be right next to a volcano like they grow underground and the lava makes his way through by going through some tubes. I want to find a crack eggrolls, a volcano and bass why you should never be right next to a park or a city, or even right next to a lake, because volcanoes can grow in the water on grass, and even in cities on the sewers or in Tree the sub way through so you should never go there
Great White and Tiger Sharks love those seas also
There was small lava tube
Amazing Video! Love all the different shark and the colors are superb :) Did you film everything with a GoPro? If so was the lens on Linear or wide?
@@manuelmh773 I’m pleased you liked the video. Yes, everything was filmed with the GoPros. I had them set on wide FOV.

Hi Steve at 4:03mins of this film ..Tiger came so close on your side! amazing ..I have already booked my trip for Fuvahmulah for next month Sept. , can't wait to experience this .. your film and all info are really helpful and educational for me!!!! Thank you so much. I didn't see any new film from you for a while ... so I guess you probably underwater somewhere in the blue planet ! please take care!!!
Hi Oneworld, I'm happy to hear you're off to Fuvahmulah next month. Have a fantastic time and say hello to the tigers for me. You'll have a great time I'm sure. I've recently returned from the Red Sea, diving from the Saudi side and not the Egyptian side. I'll upload the video to YT once I've finish editing it.
It's so scary never ending lava flow.

It was great to see such a rich and diverse marine life in action. Thanks for labeling each creature with its scientific name and for the information about these sea snakes. It was impressive that all the footage was shot with a GoPro, and I appreciate the effort you put into editing this wonderful video.
@@Shadowsing_kw thank you for you nice comments. I’m pleased you liked the video.
Incredible. Going this november, it's been a childhood dream of mine ❤ I bet swimming next to these beautiful animals changed you forever. Also love that you used Mark Torch music, makes it even more magical
Looking at it, I felt the heat and I was very afraid that it would happen to me
Thank you Steve Colligan! Way Cooolligan!
Thank you for this terrific video! I(we) would never have see this as most of us are unable to jaunt off to Iceland to witness this.

I'm going to assume that the sound is fake.....
@@poppawolf26 these drones have no way of recording sound. But the sound is very close to the noise coming from the erupting volcano.
