This concert was phenomenal! I was fortunate to see them live at the Joe Louis Arena the year they toured on this album. I think I was about 16 when I saw them that year at the Joe. Every time they came to the Detroit area, I was there! It was an awesome experience and sometimes surreal, as Steve's voice can make you cry sometimes because of the emotion he can sing with. I vowed to never see Journey when Steve left the band, and I've kept that promise. No other person, even if they "sound" like Steve, can ever "be" the soul behind the words he wrote and sung.

FUNFACT: Prince reached out to Jon (Jonathan Cain) And sent him the song “Purple Rain” because he felt that Purple Rain was sounding like faithfully. He told Jon that FAITHFULLY was the inspiration for PURPLE RAIN. PRINCE was worried PURPLE RAIN sounded like FAITHFULLY. PRINCE asked Jon McCain to give him his opinion before releasing it and if Jonathan thought that the songs were similar Prince was willing to split the royalties………Jonathan Cain responded by saying,” I’m flattered but I don’t think they sound similar, they are definitely different songs. This is why all of us who lived through that era just can't get into today's music. That's what we were used to every time we turned on the radio and in the 80's, you couldn't go a day without hearing a Journey song somewhere.
