Delivering aid at Vientiane dump, Laos
The best thing about delivering aid with the Peuan Mit Friends-International team is the laughter. Their enthusiasm is amazing and, by engaging with and supporting parents in their work as a waste-pickers, giving them protective gloves (thanks to First Mile!), we are able to help more of their children into education.

"I've waited ages, give me one now!!" as she snatches the FREE boots from the volunteer's hand.. are you f*cking kidding me?!!? Your lucky to have something to wait for 💯 These poor beautiful kids have no hope with greedy adults like this around. It's because of the children that everyones getting help. This is such an amazing project and you've no doubt given these kids the hope they would have never had without you. It's way more then just shoes to them 🤗🙏😇👏🥰💕
This video was done 3 years ago, and 26 seconds long. What a damn joke, and you want us to donate, ha ha so damn funny.
I need to go to places like these
The smiles are contagious and they come with No cost involved. Happiness on that level in those conditions, I have no words for.
People from developed countries think that anything free comes with a cost. The ability to give freely is something many are thankful for. Those who criticize could learn a thing or two by going without say food for 3+ days or giving time to charities or if they are able devote a % of their income to creating a pathway to a brighter future, may God bless you all 🙏 With God Nothing is impossible!
I'm a Christian, give them the food and if they want to stay to pray afterwards then all good, if they want to go let them, they will know God by the love of his children when they were younger, Your doing amazing thank you the little one's will never forget you 😇
How can someone get involved with helping this organization?
The adults were selfish. That lady saying “I’ve been waiting ages, give me one now!” Adults should have been given last. It’s like they expect the freebies. This is why I’m reluctant to just give, people then expect to be given free things. Nobody will try to better themselves because others just give them everything. The adults I’m talking about.
Donated due to Christmas challenge 17 and this video.thank you
God bless you, Small Steps Project.
The Prince will help you. Thank you 4 your help! Follow @princetigerasia
I'm assuming the project has been halted?
Their website is still active. Maybe they decided TH-cam wasn't doing anything to help them.
What would if these soil in cambodia is fertilized so u can teach these child how to grow thier own vegetable so that could and sell thier ptoduct to the local area their if they be in a good help but instead you are making them collect garbage in encourage them to do so my opinion would be if u could them to change their lifestyle
The kids should of went first don’t like dat part
You guys seem to be confused on what you are doing. Even though things are sad, I will not subscribe to your channel.

What was that parade with demons and Jesus Christ carrying the cross?
Damn so they said let’s just give them shoes so they can better serve themselves some trash. And they were so grateful for it all.. wow

Still this white woman wants to be the one to buy and distribute... wants to be the savior. How about she just put cash in these people's hands and let them do what they need to do? They don't need her boots or her dresses; they need money, first and foremost. Look at what Give Directly is doing in Kenya.
Money could make people mind corrupted. Food , clothes and shoes are the starting points.
Such a sad life...
So sad to see my khmer people still living below poverty. Why don't the government step up and do something? Where are the humanitarian aids? Children's sgavaging trash in exchange for daily food. Why do we need government for?
Please make a trip there and find out yourself.
Thank you so much for your benevolent act of kindness. Our family escaped from the Khmer Rouge genocide. I’m currently an RN in the USA. I would love to join you next time you visit Cambodia. I would love to give medical care to these people
When are you going to do an update, this video is 4 years old. Somebody needs to do something about this. You only have 52 likes that is not very good.
We are the members and volunteers of the "HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION FOR EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT" in short OHED, an accredited and officially registered non-profit organization working to improve the living conditions of both urban and local VULNERABLE CHILDREN who surrendered officially to various loyal institutions and then reintegrated their families from armed groups. We also deal with CHILDREN RIGHTS VOCATIONAL TRAININGS AMONG THE CONGOLESE LOCAL COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY ARMED GROUPS ACTIVITIES and SOCIAL EDUCATION BASED ON CHILD SOLDIER DEVELOPMENT. You can get further information on our organization by visiting the following website link: www.ohedong.org The major aim of writing to you is just to request for your acceptance of PARTNERING WITH OUR ORGANIZATION in the South Kivu Province of Congo (DRC) from February 2019 onward. Warm regards, OHED Executive Director South Kivu Province Dem. Rep. of the Congo
everyone who goes to Cambodia should take their unwanted clothing for these people ,, this is appauling in this day and age , collect clothing from your friend before you go and give away when you see someone that needs something
Clothing? The chief export here are garments! It’s bloody hot. A set of clothes cost $2! Bring cash! Water is expensive, washing powder, toothpaste and brushes. Consumables take a big chunk from the family budget. Housing is cheap/free -build where you can out of salvage. Mosquito nets don’t last long in a hut full of kids. I am not slapping you down, just adjusting the device of your good intentions. Everything is available here. Everything is a fraction of the cost as overseas. 50c for a pack of cigarettes, 1 $ for a cooked meal. Fake designer labels for n0thing! Cash is transferable. Clothes are pointless.
@@ianlogan6632 i know what your saying , just a thought to help them thru, i been there , i got a soft spot for the cambodians after what they ben thru with the war and the k r,, iid bring cash or send it but im not in that position, but when i win the lotto , you will see me handing it all out .
@@wazagarf8796 I hope you didn’t read my comment as an attack. It was not meant to be. I understand your good intentions, no doubts. But the easiest, most crucial any thing to bring, is cash. Everything is cheap and available, here, from software, through pharmaceuticals, school book and materials, you name it. The price of these essentials is trivial; the need is endless. I don’t want helpers to feel deflated after making a lot of effort in vain, is all.
@@ianlogan6632 noo , all good mate , hope you spend lots over there to help them out , have a great time in cambodia
I was there 15 years ago and it was a nice place. Went back 2 months ago and it is a complete shit hole full of trash and massive chinese construction with no regard for the local population. Bye bye for western tourism. I'll never go back, so sad.
@Small Steps Project You do this partially because you're feeling bad about the fact that those little kids provide more contribution to the society than those drunk bodies on the streets all around the UK every Friday night. And these kids will achieve more in their lives than your compatriots like th-cam.com/video/o02i0Cnjllk/w-d-xo.html
Even we can not help all of the slums in Many areas but to release one small kid from starving, God will reward you And help strengthen your hands to reach out more in future God see the heart ( right motive)
What if the person is stopping the kid from starving for their own motives. Many children get fattened up, plump, only to mysteriously get lost in a kitchen never to be found again. There is a growing child-eating tourism exploitation see the historic sites and eat some kids tours of Asia. How does the almighty scratch that up? Asking for a friend.
Thanks Jesus Christ. I prayed please any of organisations or charity or any generosity from overseas to help Khmer children .. my dream and vision one day I going back to my poor country to help those poor , oppression, the broken heart 💔 in the name of the lord Father in heaven your will be done on earth as it in heaven.
Lao need to buy alot of the heavy equipment trucks,dozer...factory for recycles.asap..u understand knoe baba lao?
Talk about the extremely trash in Vietane Laos, why does Laos does so as US does, charge citizen to pay for the PICKUP TRASH and make the citizen to reduces their trash thrown and when down the road or park make those citizen to maintain their own trashes in the trash bin to keep the region clean and appropriate look or healthy city or town. So this way, the village or city can collect some benefit or create job for citizen to have some thing to do. So this ways will keep lao city or town clean.
please reach me i have investors that want to help you please please please
There is great wealth in a garbage dump. Don't overlook this! Get a battery powered UV light and pick up the diamonds!
I appreciate and admire the work you guys are doing. But one point, you're going about this in the wrong way. The only way to help people up is to let them help themselves. Almost the only thing they need is for guidance and how to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. Everything needed to build a chicken coops and laying conditions is at the dump already wire mesh scraps of wood Rusty Nails broken hammers buy them three hens and a rooster and tell them to eat only every other egg come back in a year and there will be plenty of food. In fact they will have their own shoes that they purchased from selling all the excess chickens.
Where are Oxfam? Save the Children? Etc?
Irene Davo they are probably hanging out with the Clintons.
Great project. I think you will do better to bring a translator or volunteer that can translate and speak directly to the parents. Get the shoe size and info you need. That church leader is loco. If he does not get money then no one gets food. The first dump, Carlos set you up, that is why he was late. Giving time for those that he setup to get new shoes to go there. I understand your mission, but better to just forget ahead on your own.
Be nice to know more about project! Do you help in Kenya?
