This is and the rest of deeper well is, in my opinion, the most important section of omori. Or at the very least, the most perfectly crafted part. It so perfectly sets the tone for Black Space and is just very effectively rich in mystery and a sense of meditation.

This is awesome because it reminds me of the robot dance from Deltarune. I just really love these little dance sequences in games like this. It really eventuates the relationship not only between the characters, but between the characters and the player as well. Just the fact that you went out of your way to help all the ghosts find the party is good enough to see a scene like this. It's so whimsical and lighthearted. It's actually pretty genius to put stuff like this in games because it makes whoever's playing it smile, which ultimately creates memories. That's one way to make nostalgia, I suppose.

Kinda spoilers for the game? Proceed w/ caution IG It feels like the ghosts that go over their faces, each represent a part of them, who they are in the real world. These are my interpretations, in no way conclusive or definitive Omori is Sunny’s mechanism of escapism, to remain a kid forever, the propellor hat exemplifying that. Top hat ghost is a representation of Sunny in the real world, without the falsehoods of headspace. Still black and white, still plain and simple, but that’s how sunny is. No frills, no gimmicks. The beard Kel gets represents his hyper fixation on sports, physical activities, and general ‘manly man’ kind of stuff. Surface level, but Kel is a surface level kind of guy. The glasses Hero gets show his education, how he in a way has to leave those around him to practice medicine, glasses often depicting intelligence, and wisdom. The mustache and glasses combo Aubrey gets? That’s to represent the shell she put up, the emotional barrier preventing her from showing any weakness, her putting on a fake face, in the real world, to seem as though she’s always strong, perhaps to convince herself of that lie, too. The sunhat represents basil, sunhats being common for outdoor work, gardening being one of those fields. Though his presence is felt, he’s just not there, anymore. The Crown, lastly, represents Mari. No longer with us, but at the top of everyone’s mind, yet still. The sun shined brighter, when she was here.

Such an interesting sequence. When taking into account that in Headspace, Sunny's own childhood crush has been projected on to Aubrey, this could actually represent the opposite of it shows. Rather than Aubrey actually confessing to Sunny, it could represent Sunny's inability to confess his feelings before the incident. Multiple attempts to do so, but constantly stopping himself, represented by the fight. The end of the sequence is very interesting as well. Sunny's mind asking the question of who he's going to go out with, then just cutting out no matter what the answer is. It could represent that Sunny is somewhat frustrated deep down in his subconscious that his only romantic option is Aubrey, due to her being the only girl in the friend group other than Mari, and then the sequence ending before giving any response to Omori's answer could show that Sunny has no idea what would happen after an accepted confession. He wakes up at his desk, showing that Sunny at least believes that Aubrey liking him back is something that only exists in his dreams. Or at least that's my interpretation. Obviously, different people are going to have different opinions on how to interpret this scene.
