Hiking and Camping with Nikki

Boating Camping Hiking.
I love to go solo hiking, from overnight to weeks at a time. The remoteness, solitude and nature. I love camping in general but its always better taking the boat with my husband and venturing into hard to reach parts of a river or dam.

Why I Hike. (Borumba to Summer Falls walkers Camp)
In this video, I’m taking you along on a tough yet rewarding hike from Borumba Dam to Summer Falls Walkers Camp, with nearly 1400m of elevation gain. This journey is full of steep climbs, challenging descents and endless ups and downs. But that’s exactly why I hike. Along the way, I encountered a deer, navigated several creek crossings and took in the breathtaking beauty of nature.

Hiking Mt Borumba, Yabba Falls & Beyond
มุมมอง 4921 วันที่ผ่านมา
This adventure begins with a solo hike up Mt Borumba, where I take in the peaceful bush and stunning views. After the hike I met up with friends at the campground to prepare for the next day’s journey. We set off at 8.00am to explore a beautiful gorge filled with waterfalls and swimming spots, spending the entire day surrounded by incredible Aussie bush scenery. The following day we head out to...

You were lucky to have the place all to yourself :)
I know never been alone there before. Love it
Fantastic work my friend! Absolutely gorgeous scenery
We are so very lucky. So many places to explore.
Thanks loads for the beautiful video & pictures. Please include botanical names if possible. All these plants are rare species to Guatemala.
Thank you for your comment I will include more botanical names.
nice video . Was surprised by some of the flowers that were blooming . and at how tame the Opolious was
I was so surprised it didn’t run away…
@@HikingandCampingwithNikki yeah you got pretty close , you're lucky it didn't turn on you
so wont to do this one day😁
Honestly if you have the time do it while you can. It’s so worth it.
Fabulous series Nikki, thanks for sharing and well done! Can you please tell me the name of the song/artist that's playing in the final minute? I've tried googling the lyrics but no results.
It’s a great song. It’s by Sleeping Lion and is called Take a walk. It’s from the Facebook collection.
@@HikingandCampingwithNikki thanks very much!
It’s been a great series to hitch a ride on, and better still being able to see a fellow hiker reach their goal. You’re right about being privileged, makes the journey that bit sweeter.
Thank you. I have started showing it at work for the residents and they are loving it.
Congratulations All the best Clive 🤠
Thank you. It was so good.
Another beautiful section. All the best Clive 🤠🤠
beautiful
Sunrise at blackwood, is beautiful. All the best Clive 🤠
I really liked Blackwood
@nikkicoombs3337 I did also. Did you get to see the big Kangaroos up there?
Sure did they hung around near the toilet before dark.
got a little sad at the mention of a last section, as I really have been enjoying this series.
I know I was quite emotional at times when I thought about the end. I am just about finished with the last one. Hope to post it in a day or so. I truly miss the simple lifestyle of long end to ends.
Gorgeous recording (& editing!) as usual. Thanks for uploading 😍
Thank you. I really enjoy making them.
So the big questions is, how does this compare to the AAWT? I imagine you are not carrying as much food and water.
Well I had to carry 9 days from collie as it was cheaper to resupply there. But then I did a top up in Dwellingup. It has been amazing and I have loved it. But the AAWT I would do again in a heartbeat. It was much more dramatic and harder by far.
@@HikingandCampingwithNikki I would do the AAWT again in a heartbeat as well. Just loved it, even with all the challenges
I love Donnelly Village. All the best. Clive. 🤠
Love the idea of the bus stop being out there 🤣 All the best. Clive. 🤠
What a beautiful sunrise. All the best. Clive. 🤠
I’ve had some really amazing ones.
Wet and wonderful. 😀
Looks sensational, you've really captured the beautiful landscape and stillness.
It’s a great egret
Looks amazing and no doubt a good time of year to do this.
It’s been really good. Have had rain but you have to expect that on such a long hike. Some cold nights too. Loving it
Absolutely gorgeous😍I love the close attention to the grass, the timber & corrugated roof of the rough pavilion, the flowers. I adore the music selection. The echo of the bird shrieks across the lake. Might I ask if you know what species that white billed bird is that takes off across the fog?
Nice visuals..❤️❤️👌
it seems so remote, and then you see a four wheel drive!
I know, doing the Bibbulmun you constantly cross old tracks, roads that are that peaceful gravel. Most are in amazing condition yet I have rarely seen a car.
Beautifully put together as always Phil. Such a stunning area and walk and you captured some stunning colours. So much to see in South Wales.
Tree top walk looks amazing. Thank you for sharing with us. All the best. Clive. 🤠
Another wonderful addition to your collection of memories Nikki. And well done on being up so high and filming! You have overcome so much. You certainly are an inspiration!
Hello! There are many assumptions that the mesh does not “breathe” well. Could you comment?
The mesh breathed fine. I had no issues with it at all.
@@HikingandCampingwithNikki спасибо
Beautiful, even with the controlled burn, just shows off the sunrise and the rest of the scenery. Truly wish I was out there right now. All the best Clive 🤠
Brilliant! Thanks Nikki. 😍
Would be better if you had shown the boat.
Love watching!! 😍 Thanks for posting. 😊 Such a beautiful part of our world. Unspoilt! 🥰
Fantastic. Love the views. All the best.
It’s been amazing. Loving the views and beaches, huts are fantastic but I sleep in my tent. The new tent pads are perfect my DD Xmid 2 fits so well.
@@HikingandCampingwithNikki I love it out there. I have made it down to Donnelly and loved every step of the way. Keep going back out to sections to video for my TH-cam Channel, it's a hard job having to go out into such beautiful wilderness 😁 Keep the video's coming All the best Clive 🤠
Hi What month did you hike please
We started on October 24th
Are you planning to do the track? I would do it again given the opportunity. I really loved it, so different to QLD.
Great video! What's the song playing around the Howitt/Mt Clear region?
Gosh, I will try and check but once I make the video I end up having to delete off my iPad as there isn’t enough space to store them all. I only really use music that is royalty free for Facebook and TH-cam. Wish I could be more help. But I will try and find which one it is.
No stress at all. Cool piece of music. Loved the video. Doing this section in December so it's great to see it so recently. What month did you do this?@@HikingandCampingwithNikki
We started on the 24th of October 2023 I think. It was truly amazing and I would love to do it again.
Awesome stuff.@@HikingandCampingwithNikki
😮😮
Love your glasses. Are they your new ones? Too bloody hot to walk so we’ll done ♥️
It was soo hot. Yes sure are my new ones. I really like and so does the puppy….
Another amazing Nikki adventure and video. Thank you for sharing the great outdoors with us all Nikki. ❤🎉😊
Glad you enjoyed it! I just love getting out and about.
It was lovely meeting you all. Congratulations again on your walk and these lovely videos
Thanks it was great to meet you too. Glad you like the videos. Great memories.
it's been an amazing journey, thanks for going to all the effort to film this.
Beautiful scenery, thanks for sharing!
It was just magical. I truly loved it.
deceptively relaxing watching this along with such nice music. I just finished NOBO three weeks ago and there were still some big hills and bush bashing to be done. Looking forward to the final part.
Yes I think Tharwa to Thredbo was my favourite
While the AAWT was beautiful and fantastic, Threbo to Tharwa stood out with its expansive rolling plains and generally good tracks. My favourite part of the hike.
Enjoy I think it was my favourite part.
Loved watching this! I’m heading into this section now
Having the best time weather has been amazing.
I might run into you guys towards the end of your hike!! I’m Tel the Hiker! I will leave you notes on FarOut Good luck🤙🏽
Will be leaving notes on FarOut. I am hoping to post some videos as we go depending on time, reception etc.
