Rock on! 🤙 GT5 is my favourite too! I'm back to being able to use the wheel again and its definately much better than the controller but I just needed my fix of racing during the time I was recovering so I was willing to settle for the controller 😂

Lol, yeah I found the races were closer when I used the controller because I wan't as good. But at least it made for some good racing for you guys to watch 😂

Yeah, I'm sure everyone can see hints of it, in my driving style that I'm an open wheel racer at heart. But I think knowing multiple driving disciplines is a true showing of skill rather than just exercising pratice in one 😎👍

Yeah, without suspension, the curbs throw the whole body around which unsettles everything. I can't wait to get praticing again next season when they open for the spring! Hopefully I can learn from seeing my lines in a different perspective to improve race craft and lap times.

Yeah the karts are pretty bad for gaining speed back, with it being a one cylinder naturally aspirated trumpet it definitely struggles on: gaining speed back once gas is left off a little too long, after the end of a corner, hitting a curb/ off balance like you said, if you press the break even a little it kills every slice of acceleration to the engine which I found pretty annoying, the one good thing theses karts are good at and just like every other kart, it was good at steering with the gas and if you were good enough you could do some weight transfer and get some pretty good laps in assuming the track was a good temp and such, if you got the steering right you could absolutely cut through the turns once you get used to the corners and assuming no one is stupid in front of you, play your cards right and theses karts are faster than you think (if you didn’t get a bad one)

True, like that one kart we heard that had rod knock 💀😂 that one is definately slower 😂

@@Abe_47 Interesting points about losing power to the motor... with a two foot set up, would the kart retain better acceleration if you kept the accelerator pressed and just drag the break a little to control corner speed? It would be interesting to see how that impacted acceleration off the corner as well as the control characteristics of the kart. Obviously too much of both pedals and you risk a spin. Just a touch of brake you may get away with rather than lifting the accelerator and having to wind the momentum back up again.

No, I belive that I had taken off all the upgrades except for racing brakes. I also was using racing soft tires, but other than that I didn't have any upgrades on the car. (to be honest I actually find it undrivable with many upgrades because it becomes way over powered for how much grip it has)

Do you mean sub 7 minute? 😅 other than the redbull I havn't done a car that posted a sub 6 minute time at the Nurburgring. But I do plan to whip a bunch of other cars on the Nurburgring.

@@FelipeTriat lol, yeah. But honestly I love this car, it may be old but it's got some real get up and go. I find it's a really good car for taking the corners with a bit of slip angle but it's tricky to keep the back end from coming around 😂

Yeah I always seem to find the first sector is a bit tricky. I'm planning to go back sometime to clean it up as well as a few other corners that I wasn't satisfied with like turns 13 & 14.

Yes! I definately will be back at it in the near future. I've got a few more videos that I've been meaning to put together but I definately will head back to each of the tracks at some point to try and take another crack at a hot lap.

@@jurekgadzinowski2895 I drove it with the Logitech Driving Force GT and it was on console 👍 (believe it or not I still main the PS3 in 2024 😂)

Lol, I think the reason it makes a weird noise is because the force feedback is trying to fight my inputs. But I also don't know much about the force feedback wheels since this is the first and so far only one I've had so I thought it was normal😂

My old sim wheel did the same thing when the force feedback fought my inputs

Thanks! I trained by using the 2010 Ferrari F1 car, I hadn't gotten any laps that I was proud enough to post but I was satisfied with my overall memory of the track at fast speeds. My thinking was the transition to getting used to the Red Bull would be a little nicer if I started with the F1 car since previously I had run the Nürburgring most often in the Lancer which is wayyyyy slower than the Red Bull 😂

I believe so, I think with all my best sectors I could land somewhere in the mid 3:42's, but my god will that be difficult.

Thanks! I did make a good number of mistakes this lap, but based on my sectors, my theoretical best could be about 2 seconds faster I believe. The big one would be not hitting the wall at the end 💀😂 But there's always next time

Yeah my PC is ass, so I use my laptop for OBS studio to record 💀 It actually baffles me how my PC is worse than a laptop (but then again I don't know much about computes 😅)

That's real, plus after how many attempts I did before I had gotten a lap where I didn't fly off and flip through the grass at like a million km an hour, my arms were getting tired from the force feedback 😂 but my next goal is to get a lap without any big mistakes like the last wall slap.

That's awesome, its such a great wheel! Sometimes if I really want to challenge myself, I'll do a good workout right before I do a race in the F1 Ferrari so that I can feel the burn while driving just like the F1 drivers do. Although it usually wears off a bit since the wheel doesn't work the muscles as hard as actually lifting weights 😅

Nah that's so real 😂 I curl my lips in and then bite down on them and sometimes I stick my tongue out to the side 💀 But its ok cause if I become a real race car driver they wont see the goofy ahh faces I make when I lock in because I'll have the helmet on thankfully 😂

@@Max-256 Awesome! That Logitech was my first wheel. I still play GT5 and GT6 today with a Thrustmaster T300 wheel and T-LCM pedals. Also, the online works for both games too, you might want to check it out.

@@SimRacer778 Oh really? I had thought the online was ended. Did you have to do some sort of modifying the game to use online servers, kinda like what they did with Mario Kart Wii to keep the online servers?

@@Max-256 Yeah, the online is on a private server now. It works. For GT5, a jailbroken PS3 is needed, and for GT6 either a jailbroken or official firmware PS3 can be used.

I agree. I feel like Gran Turismo should have more F1 cars because they are, at least in my opinion, the most fun cars to drive.
