2013 Dodge Dart AC Blower Noise
มุมมอง 16K7 ปีที่แล้ว
Sounded like a propeller plane taking off when I turned on my AC. Discovered a hollow space where some type of rubber seal had come loose. That fixed my problem
Shit happened to me I was stuck in drive. Parking brake on, a brake pedal depressor and used my hand under the battery tray to physically put it into park. Sometimes I’m glad I’m a mechanic instead of having to call a tow truck or something
Thanks bro, my sons car started doing this. There is a recall for this but i guess it was done 3 yrs ago.
Great video. I have the same issue on my 2013.
In the parking lot of a walmart this video just saved me so thank you
This has been the best video I found about this thank you
Thanks man, I'm searching how to fix this problem on my wife's dart and this has been the most helpful video I've found.
How did you compress the bushing
You deserve a beer my brother! Great video super helpful
Está bueno igual mi carro se dificulta entrar de cambio me puede ayudar xfa
If your hands aren't too big, you can reach in and put that part on without removing anything.
What size is the bolt
My only question with that is how did he manage to pop of the plastic thing attached to the harness without damaging it?
It was already brittle and damaged from heat. It's really not 100 necessary to put it back
bro you definitely saved me some time. exact video i was lookin for. good looks frfr
Dart its the worst car in the world and American car always they made it hart to fix just to pay more money for dealerships 🤦🏻
Bravo on this video. If you don’t find a piece of foam or whatever that is in the video, feel for a leaf..I pulled one out and that did it for me
Man this just happened to me but I feel like if I tear my dash apart it'll not be the same issue because it happens when I turn my heat one
The heat tends to melt the adhesive that attaches that part. It then falls in the propeller and makes that noise
Really appreciate this video you saved me hundreds of dollars in taking it to the shop!!!! Bravo sir!
Did it help?? Same piece of foam?
Was stranded in the middle of no where and this video save me! Thanks!
Same car but my does shift and everything but when you put it on gear Drive it goes but it shows that its in all gears
That might be all together a different problem
Esa es falla del selector de los cambios asi pasa cuando fallan no save en que posicion se encuentra y se quedan en tersera marcha
Thanks, for the video. Listing the part number on the video really helped.
Sam's got to be done about these darts getting random stuff in it Mines a 13 and it's doing the same thing
Thank you so much for this video bro! The damn dealership is pissing me off behind this part! I call and at first the parts guy said he had the part in stick for me to buy, then I told him it was for a recall and I wasn't paying for it. I just wanted to make sure they had the part, then that asshole told me that he was mistaken and they didn't have the part! Bullshit! I'm never buying another damn Dodge ever again!
Your video saved me a towing fee! THANK YOU SIR!
I cut a hole in the bottom Of my battery box located right over that transmission bushing end with a hacksaw blade. After I cut a hole in the box I was right over it took five minutes to fix all I had to do was take the battery out.
hey so i just ran into a similar problem with my 2013 dart. i put in reverse and when I went to put in park, it stayed in reverse and it wont shift out of reverse thus not letting me take the key out. its in my driveway also. The shifter feels loose I guess you can say. Do you think changing the bushing will help me or should I change the whole cable? Thanks in advance. This video was very helpful.
It'll be rare that the whole cable is bad. Check the bushing, its plastic, so overtime it becomes brittle and breaks apart. If the bushing is missing, you just need to replace it. Or if u can take it to the dealership, its part of a recall and they will do it for free
@@makinitez21 thank you so much. I found out that bushing was broken. The dealership however wanted to charge me $189 for the diagnose even though I told them what the problem was. They said the diagnose would be free if I let them repair it which will cost even more and would take days possibly weeks. Do they sell the bushing at a auto part?
@@R3dmoon_ napa sells it for about $30. But it part of a recall for dodge darts. They should be doing it for free
3 dealership mechanic dislike this video LOL seriously man thanks for this incredibly helpful and save a shitload of time!
Why you whispering? Can barely hear you.
Hey I wanted to thank you for this video it saved me alot of time the only thing was to snap the new bushing back I had to use a pry bar till I heard it snap in place so thanks
Thank you for this video dude cause I was not anout to take every single bolt out
How long did it take to complete this job mine went out last night and had to have it towed to a dealership
Bout an hour
Care if I ask what the part number is called so I can see about getting the exact one I have the same exact year and model of the dodge dart and would like to get the bushing for it searches for it have been scarce interestingly enough yeah the video aint clear enough for me to see it exactly
Thanks so much. My 2013 Dart started making a hideous noise today. Followed your steps and pulled out a piece of foam. Don't know from where but there it was.
Damn mine just started this on my way to work. It sounds like a low humming. Great video going to investigate later today.
I've got an issue with mine sounding like something is scraping, took out the cabin air filter today like you tried doing first. Glad I saw this, tomorrow I'll investigate by taking off the driver's side panel!
Did this today! Cleaned filter, a lot of leaves, spun fan under driver side like you until I stopped hearing the noise, a leaf? and it was gone! Thanks a million!
Me and my sister both have Dodge Darts, and we had similar miles when we had the same issue. Somehow, after awhile it just stopped doing it. Still haven't figured out what it was or why it stopped.
I have a 2014 Dart and although it was a bitch to get underneath there lo and behold there were just a few leaves stuck. Took them out and the noise was gone! Thanks for the video
I've had the car for about a week and have used the heat the whole time even all day today then I just went to park my car and my heat was already on and it just started making that spinning noise
@@tristinsanders5651 ive had the car about 5 years now and just about every year I have to take the grate off and stick my hand inside the fan to pull out whatever debris gets caught. One time nothing was even there, the fan just wouldnt move so i gave it a push and it was fine. It's annoying but id rather do that than bring it to a shop. Sometimes kicking the panel real hard helps too.
Hey man! Lots of help, did it sound like something was in there rattling around? Because I have a 2013 dart gt doing that
Sounded like when you put the noise thing (not sure what it called ) on the bicycle wheel
juan arguello mine does the same it’s a 2015
Thanks. You saved me from taking out the motor from the other side. And I just about had it out. What A PAIN, so tight in there.
janX9 how does the motor come out? Mine only blows like 40% of the time, I have to kick it to make it work
James Kipa LOL just kick it eh? I'll try that on mine... Not sure how to take out the motor. Didn't end up needing to. I just spun the "turbine" on the motor by hand and it just started working again. I did the same thing in this video. Something must have been blocking it from spinning. However it stopped working again and I'm going to try to fix it again. Hopefully I don't have to replace the motor, as I don't really know how. Maybe I'll make a video if I do replace the motor. Also, if you learned how to change the motor, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
James Kipa what little I do know about replacing the motor is in this video I made. It's not much though. I just point out where the motor is and the screws and wires attached to it. From there I'm hoping It's as simple as using my common sense LOL as I might have to replace mine today. m.th-cam.com/video/62p9sPzGVH0/w-d-xo.html
looks like a key that goes on the shaft of a motor.
