This is a guided walk up castle crag the smallest wainwright. This is a loop walk from Grange in Borrowdale and goes along the river Derwent up to castle crag and the loop down to the river again and follow back down stream to Millican Dalton Caves.

This is a channel update sorry for the break in wild camps but the channel will be back to normal very shortly. In the meantime here a short update.
This wasn’t my fist choice but it worked.

Sometimes solo wild camps don’t go to plan this was my backup plan and it worked. When walking up to a pitch i always make a backup plan further down this time the wind got the best of me so i decided to go for a lower pitch next to a beck.
This is my Packdown

Bike Packing Solo Wild Camp on a mountain Summit

n this one, I take my bike to the top of Lord seat while camping just down from the cairn. It was a windy and wild night gusting up to 50 mile an hour winds. The tent stood really strong didn’t have to even change the pegs. I double up on the pegs which really makes a difference the Hillberg Soulo it’s definitely a strong tent for windy conditions.
Solo Wild camp testing my tent in the event of a failed of 6 lines in 20mph winds.

This is a wild camp up Ling Fell in the morning I decided to see what it was like if a took out the leading edge lines out the tent (Hilliberg Soulo) coped really well. I also find a Geocache up at the top of the fell. Join my in my adventures wild camping in the Lake District.

@@lost_in_TheLakes Great - Looking forward to it - Happy Christmas !
Nice hands on review. It really does the job of reviewing in real time with a real scenario. Can’t beat Talky Toaster for mapping. You convinced me. Upgraded to the 67 for 66 for battery and extra satnav precision. Thanks.
great stuff
Were about is this beautiful

@@lost_in_TheLakes Thort so it looks like we're . Andrew from lake District camping with ace. has gone. Do you do much winter ❄️ camping ⛺
@ I do yes
@@lost_in_TheLakes it's cool to cold 🥶🥶
I have just landed here came fromy friends TH-cam channel. Lake District camping with ace. He put a link to your site. Send some people your way. As he like sto help people get there channel up and running.
I use my kislux as a work bag and have had no issues at all. Itâs a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadnât lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and donât carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interio.
Before you lay out that kind of cash, you'll want to be checking the dimensions carefully. That thing is TINY. Unless you're a hobbit, it's best to view it as a large bivy rather than a full-sized shelter. Any by all accounts, ventilation is poor and condensation is a problem.
Ijagmt had an issue with ventilation but it’s certainly on the small side.
Have you had much use with this? How’s it holding up? My only concern would be the way those handles are connected I actually seen one for sale as spares repairs with the top part of the handles disconnected.
Yes not As much as my other stuff but it is holding up. Probably used it about 20 times now
For a long time, as Chanel prices have risen, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have a kislux as a travel bag that I don't have to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one would have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
No problem
Ill be buying the 67i soon mate so great to see your video. Also ive only ever used talkytoaster, there the best maps in my opinion as they dont go blurry when zooming in and also the price.
Yes that are the best
Looks like you got tangled by ashley bro.I do enjoyed your vlog. Nice one.
It was a bit windy up there thanks for the comment
Superb mate. Wish I'd been up there 👍
It was good fun
keep goin 👍
Thanks
Why No hat? No protection for your ears ? I usually have to wear a Buff over the ears in high winds and gusts. And no gloves either? Your a brave man 🙂 great video 👍🏼
Thanks for the tips!

Im suprised you got parked at the Scales layby, even on a Sunday morning. Great video . Liked and subbed.
Thanks for the sub!
Great video! Not sure if you remember since it’s been a while but my friends and I ran into you at the summit, it was lovely meeting you! And thanks for taking our pictures :)
Yes, I remember good to meet you. Hope you got down before it got too dark.
@@lost_in_TheLakes It really pretty dark but luckily we had some torches. It made for a pretty fun experience.
“Mountain hikes instilled in me a life-long urge to get to the top of any inviting summit or peak.”
Thanks
Is it a beck or a stream? awesome location tho
I would way stream
Wheathering with you

WAIT HOW TF DID YOU GET ALL THE WAY UP THERE?!

@@lost_in_TheLakesthat is true

For what it's worth: I can fit my Lenovo Legion Pro 16 in this bag. Dimensions are: 26,44 x 35,6 x 2,68 cm
Thanks for the info really useful
Loving your channel mate, some cracking videos, just subscribed from a fellow TH-camr 😉👍
Thanks mate and thanks for the sub
Love your honesty and decision to prioritize safety! It’s inspiring to see your learning process in action-each camp is a new adventure. Looking forward to more of your journeys!
Thanks vert much
Hi, I have a 67i, but can’t get that screen where you can read the names of paths & roads ahead. I have OS map 1:50 installed on my device.
have a look in map manager see if everything is set. it also could be the detail level.
Isn't that only available in national parks mate.
Great device. I have the 67i for that extra peace of mind. I often find myself in areas with little to no phone signal so reassuring to have InReach capabilities. Used it recently to augment navigation around Menorca on the Cami de Cavalls trail. Battery far superior to my 62ST. It also doubles up as my PLB when I go sea kayaking. Worth every penny.
Thanks yes I have a similar feature with me phone so I opted out on the satellite feature
Cracking video as always, thank you. I don't understand the obsession folk have with the Adventure Food type products that cost 7,8 or more quid. You can get a pot of porridge from Tesco for 50p and an own brand version of a pot noodle that tastes amazing for less than a quid. I just don't get why folk buy anything else... Interested in anyone's thoughts on this 👍
I just find them convenient but yes they are very expensive.
@@lost_in_TheLakesBe interested in a video where you do a comparison between the 2, could revolutionise the camping industry 😂
It’s always good to have an input and a comparison
@@lost_in_TheLakesI look forward to the video 👍
What turned out to be the Garmin issue?
it was the maps in the end I reloaded them and all is good.
Wow, I love how you captured the unpredictability of the Lake District in this! The Hilliberg sounds like the perfect companion for both peaceful sunsets and those moody mornings.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've notice similar signs going up around the peak district its seems the few are ruining it for all of us
lets hope is calms down
Thank you very much, gave clear details of this route. A good guide for the hikers want to do trails around this area.
You are welcome!
What an incredible adventure! How did your son enjoy the challenge of climbing one of England’s highest peaks? Looking forward to seeing more of your journey! 🌄👣

Sounds like an epic adventure and a fantastic view of the festival! 🌟 Can't wait to see how the light festival turned out and how that hidden path added to the journey. 🎥✨

Thanks for the review! I'm considering the Escapist 30 vs Evoc Explorer Pro 30 and this has been very helpful as I can't see the Osprey live anywhere near me.
Glad it was helpful!
Love how you emphasized the importance of the Leave No Trace policy-such a crucial reminder for preserving our beautiful national parks! Can't wait to see what other thoughts you share in your videos
Thanks very much. It’s important advice to follow there are too many flycampers at the moment.
Beautiful! ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
