use your old shaft 21 more inches
In this video I take the old front driveshaft from my Jeep and cut the ends off to make a tube for more leverage on wrenches. Sure is handy having 21 more inches of leverage! Saw blade seems a little dull though as there are good vibrations while cutting and a little smoke. Oh well, hope you enjoy! Like and subscribe really helps a small channel, thanks a lot! camp stove first burn review

Reviewing a new camp stove in this video. Good solid chimney pipes, no chimney flue though; door vent only. Not a bad size although a little heavy if carrying around while camping. Good for a shed or greenhouse heat source though I think. Testing on a frosty morning. Like and subscribe really helps a small channel. Thanks for watching and have a great day!

building a curved and arched bridge over water
มุมมอง 472 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I build a bridge over the backyard pond. It is both curved and arched. The curve and arch are angled rather than on a radius but the result is similar. Treated lumber and welded steel brackets and nuts and bolts. Stained and assembled, it has a light on it for the night hours. This is a DIY for someone to perhaps template from. An engineer would design differently perhaps. It work...

In this video I take cuttings from existing trees from which to make new trees. It's a simple process anyone can do so try it out for yourself. Takes longer to grow than to buy existing trees but it's free. They don't all make it always but it doesn't hurt to try. DIY Thanks for watching. In this video I transplant orange trees that I grew from seed. Can't remember what kind they are but they are growing and need repotting. So watch and enjoy. coleman 321b lantern globe repair

Got an old coleman lantern with a broken globe? Try a fix first before buying a new one. Mine had a broken piece and I taped it up with aluminum foil tape. Works great. Heat resistant and holds perfectly in place. New glass globes are expensive. Check it out here and see what you think. Maybe this will work for you. propeller repair
มุมมอง 555 หลายเดือนก่อน
So I have a damaged boat propeller and decided to fix it unconventionally. The prop is aluminum and I fixed it with 16ga sheet metal. Since this cannot be welded I lap joined the two pieces and secured with steel pop rivets. I ground down the back side of the rivets and welded them flat to the sheetmetal. Applied JB weld across the joint on both sides to smooth it over and it looks good. Sanded...
screen house tour

I put up a screen tent house in my garden to protect the cabbages from the butterflies that destroy them. I can now walk in and weed and water the area freely without the limitations of wrapping the plants directly. I made it from a replacement screen for a screen tent which I purchased for 11 dollars. I cut up 2x4's for a frame. Then I put plant screen on the top for a roof. Hopefully it lasts...

When starting your garden it is a good idea to label your rows of plants with stakes and labels of some kind to remember where you planted what. Be careful with using 26w PL-C preheat CFL ballasts to run your 18w SOX low pressure sodium lamps because 26w PL-C lamps run at about 100v 300mA while 18w SOX low pressure sodium lamps run at 57v 350mA. If this fixture is being used in the long term, the 26w PL-C preheat CFL ballast will overheat and become useless in such a short amount of time because the low arc voltage drop of the 18w SOX low pressure sodium lamp will put excessive stress on the ballast’s windings and break down its insulation and cause it to short out all together. So far, my best method for running 18w SOX low pressure sodium lamps on magnetic ballasts is to use a 277v F20T12 preheat choke ballast in conjunction with a 120v-277v step up transformer and a FS4 fluorescent starter in parallel with the lamp. You also get that same effect with operating a F34T12 fluorescent tube on some older F40T12 fluorescent tube ballasts due to the fact that F34T12 fluorescent tubes have a much lower arc voltage drop of 80v compared to a full power F40T12 fluorescent tube, which has an arc voltage drop of about 100v. Both full power F40T12 fluorescent tubes and F34T12 fluorescent tubes run at nearly identical currents, but unfortunately, F34T12 fluorescent tubes have been known to overheat and destroy some older F40T12 fluorescent tube ballasts due to the lower arc voltage drop of F34T12 fluorescent tubes.

    How can it run without an igniter? I have 2 Philips SRM fixtures with SOX 55W and they both contain a ballast, capacitor and igniter.

    • @theperrychannel2204
      @theperrychannel2204 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 18 and 35 watt lamps are small enough that the volts and current from the correct ballast is enough to start them. The larger lamp sizes and all high pressure lamps require an igniter. Thanks for watching.
