Hello everyone =) Haven't heard from me for a long time, yes, that's true, soon you'll see what I've been working on for so long, but in the meantime, catch this video in which I implemented the system for loading and unloading game levels, it looks simplified and can load and unload scenes as if in one thread and multithread. Autosave is also implemented. In the future, when I develop the user...

Hello everyone, in this video you will see what you really wanted when you played Driver 2. This works in all releases of this game, check it yourself, I don’t use cheats or macros, this is just the negligence of the developers at that time =) It took me years to find this bug, I was a child when I played it and spent a lot of hours in it, and I found a lifehack how to get to any place on the m...

Hello community, another development video =) I created a new shader and this is lava. I slightly modified it and added layers of magma, it looks seamless and more realistic. A couple of days ago, I set myself the task of creating an ocean in my project, since in the opening scene, the main character is somewhere on an island (not a spoiler). The task was to create a realistic ocean shader and at the same time ensure that it was optimized. This is not the final result yet, but what makes me happy is that it has become flexible in use, I only received one draw call. ...

Hello everyone =) In the previous video I exported the height map from the level I created earlier. In this video, I imported a height map and created a game landscape, you can see the optimized version, by setting up the landscape I received only 7 draw calls, which is a definite success for me =) For example, in the Unity engine such a landscape already takes 20 draw calls. thank you very much, of course my friend there will be many interesting videos about Driver 2. I am preparing a series..
@@rok_e very exciting, will wait with patience my friend
everytime i see this : =) it put smile on my face , thank you 😁
no, thank you bro =)
i still think there are alot of easter egg in this game that people hasnt found yet, and need to be discovered
I completely agree with you.
Good lookin'!

Interesting! I too grew up with driver 1 and 2 I did not know about this, but for the past month I’ve been itching to play it again. So I dug out an old original PlayStation 2 and my driver games and have 2 weeks off work. Let’s do this.
Yeah man (handshaking) best choice best feeling
eu fiz isso nas minhas ferias e filmei. esta no meu canal.
Bro I play this game on epsxe. But the flash turn lights of my car don't work. How yours works? Do you play redriver or what?
It's redriver bro. Maybe you watched my other video on TH-cam, where I showed my game mod
Can you share a playable demo
yep, i will publish later
The life hack only works when not being chased. As long as you maintain lanes, don't run reds, hit cars, steal cars, or speed, you won't be wanted.
a yes walking backyards in driver2, it always broke the fabric of reality used to do it on the chicago stadium bleachers nd walk ontop of the flat textured crowd
Looks very similar to Cabrini Green back in the day those big gridded blocks of flats!
I went in there too. The police pushed me with everything and car and honestly there is nothing more than a mapped section. If you leave there you will drown since it is practically on the edge of the end of the map. Now my goal is to get on the train tracks with everything and car to see how far it goes.
I love you I am happy to see someone playing my game childhood
Thank you too =) always you welcome
There is an easier way to get down there
We will never know about it
@@rok_e Oh yes you will, wanna know? I have a video were I do that
@@rok_e There is a way! Wanna know? I have a video where I do that
The classic oob, you can drive a car there. But for a long distance
These Driver 2 videos are awesome.
🥴Thanks bro
Wait I never knew this fortress was in the game! Was it used in any missions at all? Or just acts as an easter egg?
Maybe, I think it's part of the location architecture in the game design.
Off topic but what always bugged me about this game (a game I truly love) is that the background wallpaper shows buildings that you can never reach, yet those same buildings are supposed to actually be IN THE MAP that you can drive because the map is based off the downtown area of Chicago. So in other words, the buildings are in the map twice lol
XD XD Lol
I found the house where tanner lived.
Now this is your home too =)
Nice driving son. P.S: I didn't realize the character had a face
Yeah, he looks like Frankenstein.
4:52 yeah why not dancing, while we're at it
You are right, it is a tanner, he always has excellent movements . P.S: I just decided to check the collision in these places, in the video I am there for the second time.
I like how there's a garage when you could only get there by driving through the grass.
i still think of how funny the cops on the P.A sounded so robotic
Bzzz Ueep :)
Clickbait. No hole shown or tried to fall down.
Tanner moves like he sha rted.
👍for the glitch 👎because it's not Chicago at Night.
I love this game! All of em really.. But 2 was the 1 i spent hrs on as a kid! Hurts my eyes now tho.. Sadly! ]=
I play everyday never gets boring. I make undercover mode even harder for a challenge
Now I understand, why Asuka in GTA 3 calls Tanner as a "strangely animated undercover cop".
Super troopers lol
😁
I didn't know Tanner's face had detail. I've played the game upscaled but I guess I just never looked. 😂
As someone who grew up with this game, playing it everyday, thank you for keeping it alive and sharing unique and interesting clips of it. I fairly recently beat Driver 1 not too long ago again, and now have to beat Driver 2 again and can't wait. Driver 1 and 2 will always hold a special place in my heart. Have a great day, friend!
and you friend, thanks a lot.
Maybe i don't remember it right, but did Driver 2 have a day/night cycle? In the video it goes from night to day, but i don't rememeber it happening in my game 🤔
Yes you are right it happened in one of the missions escape to the ferry in Havana and in other missions. I use REDRIVER there is an option to choose morning or evening, which was not added to the original game.
It's present in the main game using a, game shark cheat code
@mysticalmethod9725 Cheats, are not my favorite tool :) devs will tell u the same. But, it's an easy way to get to the goal
C'est la version PC du jeu, un emulateur ou Redriver 2 ? La version PS1 est largement moins belle.
REDRIVER PC
There is a faster way to do wall clips, that is with a car. But I did not know you can do it on foot. But back in the day I knew about how OP walking backwards was. Nice vid
Thanks.

Sometimes the algorithim just sends you a curveball.
Nice to see other people playing this game in 2024, specially visiting my hometown havana. I was in castillo del morro a few weeks ago, i should try and jump down the bridge next time😂
😁 You're funny, if it's not high up there and the tour agents can't see you, jump off of course, record a video for us, we'll be interested. Thank you
@@rok_e actually is pretty accurate for a ps1 game. Specially the entrance part. I would love to make a video spotting real life landmarks of the game
@@elsenior8110 its cool😎
Holy shit, it was my fav game like what 20 years ago. 🥲
yep yep 🥴
Is this Tanner's house ?
NiC3
Hey how did you manage to make Tanner sit on the bench?
Don’t you mean where tanner lived??
He could live there, I say as a developer. Reflection could create a home for Tanner, as it was done in Driver 3.
@@rok_e you wrote “lived tanner” though? That doesn’t make sense.
@@LaurenceReeves sorry for the click bait =0 but without it youtube algorithms don't understand anything)
it makes sense depending on where you are in the world and how they speak english....in some countries, more like Yoda they speak.
People are solo role-playing in Driver 2? 😂 I mean, that's funny, I remember doing the same when I was a kid, later in GTA series. That whole video was a pretty nice blast from the past.
Greetings from the past =)
I remember doing the solo role playing in every gta game. I also remember doing it in driver parallel lines with the soul snatchers cheat. Good times.
@@avetthekiller3080 Parallel lines? There is one bug, I will record a video about it later
@@avetthekiller3080 yep, in my case it was gta vc and then 4 (somehow i skipped SA and only played it after the 4) i remember imagining some silly scenarios in my head like "drive this truck full of illegal stuff from Bohan to Alderny" or "take this limo and drive this VIP guy from the Ocean View hotel over to the Airport" lol
Awesome video! How did you turn the day cloudy by the way. Looks nice.
its REDRIVER version
The cops passing by Tanner Cops: - 😒😒 - He;s without Vehicle Tony, Relax...

2 minutes of my life I'll never get back
Gta could have been a full 3d game on the ps1, no one can change my mind on that.
It could. But it would miss out on so many levels. Fortunately right now its being proven that Dreamcast can handle GTA3
with desert cities that have little to no interactivity. It's a good thing they waited for the proper hardware to make the jump.
@@bizarroeddie1 have you played gta 3? I'm not trying to downplay how good it was for it',s time, but it has literally no interactivity within the world besides what you do on missions. The only thing missing from driver 2 to gta 3 is a day/night cycle/weather system (mizzurna falls does have it in an open world environment) and gunplay outside of cars. You may be thinking about modern gta games, i'm thinking of gta 3, specifically. Also, there would have to be obvious compromisses to the game. Lower draw distance, less crowd. There is actually a game that comes close to it, now that i remember: Urban Chaos on the ps1. I do recommend checking it out.
@@Rihcterwilker Yes, i played it back then. I'm 36 years old. GTA 3 runs circles around Driver, Driver 2, or anything PS1 could deliver. In fact, Driver 2 was not well received back then because it tried to do too much with outdated hardware, so it didn't run well, play well, or have good draw distance. Let's say had GTA 3 come out for PS1, we would be talking about how Mafia, not GTA 3, paved the way for large open-world urban games.
@@bizarroeddie1 gta 3 only got big in the mainstream due to the campaign against it because of the explicit violence, which generated alot of free marketing in an era where access to information was limited. Mafia, which you mentioned, was just as limited in interactivity with it's open world. And Driver 2 (which was very well received, i'm not sure where you heard that it wasn't) was trying something new in a more limited system, which deserves way more praise. And as i mentioned, Urban Chaos and Mizzurna falls, each in it's own genre, also delivered open world experiences on the ps1.
What game is that? Mafia? Grand Theft Auto? Or what is it?
Driver 2 on PSX.
@@Mahoromatic PS1, the PSX was something else.
