It's very interesting to see it all come together with new ideas and how the learning curves improves the process over time. The joys of amazon items. Having to put the strings on things. pay for it prestrung. I think the $4.99 on the end caps would be a good idea. Maybe people would see them better as they walk towards the back. Maybe get some bright color paper to make it stand out the most to people that this is a hot deal

Maybe a huge black Friday sale? $4.99 items, Funko clearance? any other items you have lots of to clear out. Those small trucks should do well for quick small sales. Do some advertising locally to get the people going around for black Friday deals.

Funko has died off everywhere. I dont know anyone buying them anymore. Don't get started on the new line Thrilljoy. It's more of the same thing .

To think about the balls it took you guys to invest that kind of money on this gamble at the start. But it sure paid off didn't it I bet you miss being able to drop pallets across the big empty space and work straight off them like with that Walmart load

I feel like this is a major issue with overstock. You get stuck with the crap noone wants and you sell the good items fast. Maybe a good idea to base the business on both overstock and "new" toys. Keep a track on what sells fast and buy that and keep it in stock in stores at all time

Glad you are moving some of that older stock. Sounds like you are doing a good job of clearing up the old product. I know it feels like it is light but the store does still look full. Maybe you will have to do some of those buys to get a few of the must have items you need to help withe the Christmas rush. Things are looking good and less clutter is a good thing for sure

Mondays & Tuesdays may be a bit slow in the beginning. Hopefully with your followers sharing your videos, word of mouth and the Holidays approaching more people will discover the store and your new hours. Have you considered getting a bigger Open sign or a sidewalk sign? That may help draw in more traffic. Maybe hang a banner or something outside the store. Have you considered aligning with Pokémon Go community day and offering a discount on Pokémon merch? Just throwing some ideas out.

u could Trade in Bulk with Other city Toy Store, trade what u have to many with other store what they have to many.

Any ideas are good ideas to get rid of the bulk items for sure. I do like the other commenter about doing buy so much get something for free. Get rid of a bunch of the slow selling items and clear out areas you have lots of items. Could also do like a spend $50 and get a free $4.99 item from the rack.

Great to see some stock that is gotten put the side getting some love and trying to move those products out of the store. Good to clear out for when the new stock arrives. With Amazon it seems like you need to order 10 or 12 orders to see if you will get 1 or 2. Good luck on those. Need a peek at the backroom to see how that is going

We live in Eureka but visit Washington frequently. We didn't see the store until spring this year. My kids love stopping by to see what new things you have (and I don't mind checking out what legos and games are in stock). Please keep up the good work. We are glad there is a business like yours in the area.

Congratulations! the first year is always the hardest and most businesses fail within the first 12 months, but it seems like you are thriving, love the series so far very excited to see where it goes, next year I'm doing some traveling for business depending where I am I might stop in and say hello!

Congrats of year one. Been cool watching all the changes over time. It would not be a toy store video with out something falling over.

Gaps are not a problem, organization is. It should be easy to see where one section ends, and another begins. There shouldn't be multiples front displayed on shelf. Customers would MUCH rather have some space between sections, with proper organization, rather than just STACKS of the same not-selling product.....

Out of interest how do you order the pallets of toys from Amazon? So many scams out there when I looked. Especially on ebay. Thanks 🙏

They moved better then I though they would for sure. Little tight put not as bad as it could be. The DC is much needed. Will be so much better to have something with a loading dock that is for sure. Got lucky on not having it rain that much. Can't wait to see what is next

Seems like Costco is using the term 'overstock' a little loosely with all those busted items mixed in there. At least with the Target loads you have a pretty good mix of new items too

The front of the store is always a hard part. I have people blow by the front all the time, then they ask for something and you are like right there at the front. Just the way it goes. I would say for 7 days a week I am thinking Monday will be your slow day and maybe have to see if it works or not. Like the idea of adding the extra aisle for sure. Having more dump bins that are lower will help open up the front and make it more inviting to look and see what you have. Inventory is always going to be a question going into the Holidays you never know what people will go for but I think you have a good selection and sure the $4.99 section will help clear out the corner of doom and the dreaded backroom for sure.

Keep it up! 1 year and you are killing it. 7 Days a week will be interesting test I bet. Would be interesting to see if its just worth while to be open certain hours. Like 3 to 7pm on week days (M to Th). Can't imagine it being worth it to be open at 10am on a tuesday haha

I see what you are saying with needing new stuff, you want those regular customers checking in for new toy loads all the time to snag things and get good deals. I would still work on getting ALL the toys off the floor and that would fill a lot of gaps. Your doing great and like you said you are finding your sweet spot. More bulk item discounts and the holidays! Get those action figures and lego stocked! Forget those 1up machines..lol
