It's definitely a good one!

The biggest difference to remember with wing and NW is how the weight transfers differently throughout the corner. Both transfer to the RR on entry but the wing really brings the weight back to the LR through the center of the corner. The wing also, obviously provides the downforce on the rear tires. So the biggest changes here are shock adjustments throughout the night. Lots of times adding more rebound stiffness to the RR to keep weight on the RR tire longer throughout the corner and not tying down the LR as much as with the wing are the big shock adjustments. The other big shock adjustments for NW is decreasing rebound in the front shocks to let the front end come up quicker under acceleration to transfer weight quicker since you're lacking the downforce without the wings. That adjustment is huge for forward drive in NW as well as dropping stagger up to a couple inches and adding preload turns to the front end to transfer more weight under acceleration. I could also make some torsion bar changes to maximize performance in each class if I was running a certain class per night, but I can also get away with finding a happy medium to work with both classes so I don't have to change throughout the night since we typically don't have enough time between classes. So in short, changing tires for less stagger, adjusting shocks, and adding turns in the front are the biggest changes I make for NW.

No, I'm not. I always want to go, but I just can't bring myself to spend as much money as it takes to be there. I could race for a month during the summer on what it costs to go to Shootout.

It's actually one of my favorite places we go! It does get single file around the bottom at times, but it'll build a big curb to lean on too and when it does it's an absolute blast! It's super unique. Definitely the flattest track we go too by far.

Thanks! I really appreciate the kind words! Depending on what track we're at I'll either have a 12 or 13 tooth sprocket on the engine. I've heard of some people running bigger than that, but if I went bigger than that I may not be able to fit a case saver on the engine and I prefer to have one of those.

I've been to each of those tracks once. KAM is one of my favorite tracks I've been to and I really enjoyed Fairbury too! I would have been back last year but my A Class engine blew up before then. Hopefully I'll be able to make it this year!

I've been contemplating getting a micro. Raced most everything else but KAM and Fairbury are a ways away from me here in Omaha but, we'll see what happens. I'll keep an eye out for you if and when I go. Want to go watch sometime.

I typically enjoy the Non-Wing classes better. I just feel like there's more difference a driver can make on the track than with Wing. However, in certain particular cases the Wing racing is an absolute blast. Like when the track is in awesome shape and the car is setup almost perfect.

I would say that ballpark is pretty reasonable for a roller. Obviously it could vary depending on what kind of shocks it may come with. And it could be more expensive if it has and carbon or titanium.

At most tracks the restrictor rules are 9 years old. The upper classes are 12, I believe.

Wanna say thank you Kenton! I watch your videos daily! Iv been wanting to get into micro sprints for along time! Finally got me a 03 factor one roller that I'm powering with a 07 gsxr - still need odds and ends - traded off my flat kart for a 03 Sawyer roller to use as a back up - I'm hoping between the two I'll have most everything I need.... Your videos have helped build my confidence and helped me gain a strategy...... Im located in Oklahoma area and plan to do meeker and port City! I promise you - my first win will include a big shout out to you and your channel! It's been a joy to learn from you! That's really cool hear! I know this track is very rich in history, but I'm not aware of most of it. It's easily one of my favorite tracks we go to!

It's become one of my favorite tracks! Builds a gnarly cushion and it's easy to compete in the Outlaw classes with a stock engine.
