Hi there, i think the times in the parks are from 5 am to 6 pm. We literally spotted this leopard 10 min before the sun came up. That's why it's still a bit dark when we first see it and as it walked away, the sun was up already. . . I use a sun rise app on my phone to see when exactly the sun will rise . So i usually know when it breaks the horizon. . . But it's strictly prohibited to drive at night after dark.

May is at the end of the summer season( raily season) so you may experience a many water crossings. A good indication if water crossings are safe, is if you see fresh tyre tracks on the other side of the crossing or if its a frequently used crossing it would have 1.5 to 2 meter damp or wet water stains of vehicles that have crossed earlier. Beacause the cars would push the water out to the exits as they leave the water.

Any advice on speed / momentum during water crossing? Also, while driving in thick sand with v track in front view vs. seeing tire tracks.

@@dilipkakkad2260 i would say if crossing the water i would select 4H in the transfer case and second gear, then ill just keep the speed moderate. I won't speed. Slow and steady . And by all means try to not stop and go in the water. Thick sand: i would recommend traveling early in the morning when the thick sand is still cool and hot and loose. Deflate your tyres to the lowest but still safest recommended pressure from you tyre brand manufacture in relation with your total vehicle setup weight. How.: In my experience. Start your journey with the vehicle in 4h if its a manual or auto . Try and minimise gear selections, keep your speed constant as much as you can and don't stop to fast. I usualy time my stops in advance so i just step on the clutch and the sand will do the stopping for me . In a automatic car ill just leave the ecelerator pedal and the sand will stop you to. ( If it doesn't then just easily apply your breaks . In an emergency that you would find your self stopping fast in the case of an elephant or animal crossing the sandy road. You will find that the fast stoppi g creats a little sand dune infront of each tyre. So please if the hazard in the road has cleared remember to reverse a for a few meters and then you can continue to build traveling momentum without starting with little dunes infont of the will that could get you stuck. Unnecessary stops or leaving the accelerator on the go slows you down, breaks your momentum and that gets you stuck 99% of the time. I would rather stay in a lower gear- 1st or 2nd gear at 2000-3000 revs ( keep an eye on your radiator heat guage while traveling at these revs) than gear up to 3rd gear to reduce revs and end up stuck .
