You are so right. There is no easy way with Candles, even the climate and the time of year especially in the UK where we have a range of temperatures in 12 months. Unless you’re home is the same temperature throughout the year, everything is going to have an impact …. down to frosting, Cooling, sink holes, lumpy tops, poor CT, mushrooming wick et cetera et cetera Every brand of Soy Wax is different - and every fragrance oil is different. So there is no easy way around it except to keep on doing your own testing, make your own notes and most of all ENJOY IT ❤

When testing - just hand fill the glass. It saves time as the glass will need to warm first.

Unwaxed wicks are mainly for use in beeswax and pillar candles. 🕯️

Can I please ask what type of wick and what size wick did you use? I have the 9cm clamshell mould and for the life of me cannot get the candle to burn correctly without tunneling. 😢

I’m thinking of using soy wax instead of the paraffin wax. Eww that stuff stinks and paraffin wax is carcinogenic why do they think it’s safe to put that on your skin for waxing. After recently finding out what paraffin is I’m floored it’s even in many of are candles I don’t wanna be breathing carcinogenic air.

This is a great video. I've used mould master wax and it works great for wood wick container candles but I wouldn't trust pillar wax like that. Hope your was able to find a better wax for your candles 😊

Important tip 🤦🏻‍♀️ in order to be more efficient on time-work, use a microwave and set it for 3 min., if it’s not completely melted set it again for 1:30 more! Hugs and I hope this works for you as well.

Thank you for taking the time to give us this information. I am new to this. My dilemma is that I have the original NGI Ecosoya PB soy wax that I am going to use in glass containers that are only 2.25 inches in diameter with a straight edge. I have been testing and so far the wax is not pulling away from the container/glass. My problem is finding the correct wick for full melt pool without getting to hot. I am using what I have that only says, "primed 8oz", and I have no idea what that means. From what I have read, I am thinking I should try a size 12-14? Also is there a definitive or correct way to soften the wax a wee bit. I tried both refined and unrefined coconut oil, but am not there yet, and it seemed more coconut oil did not allow a wider melt pool.

Paraffin wax is not chemically made, its just refined from crude oil. Crude oil is perfectly natural material straight from the ground
