This one also very much resonates with me, Always feeling like I can't be myself around anyone, even those I really look at as friends, really good ones at that. This is a deep one, and I feel that there is more masks worn than people let on. You eventually come professional at wearing "masks" when you grew up not being able to express yourself the way you felt a need to without getting in some kind of trouble.

This song does speak to me, It speaks to me a lot as does Mask. Because I am quite an awkward person and always have been, I have always struggled to make friends, or to approach people face to face which is entirely ironic in my book because I am in customer service and have been since I was 17 years old and I have no problem talking to them people at random. But I get 100% what its like to hide yourself, your emotions, your feelings, who you really are because You're so afraid that its going to be one more crack to your heart, one more let down, one more broken promise, one more rumor, one more person that disregards you because you don't line up to their standards.

Well. I have been broken and put together countless times. So often that my old self is lost forever and each and every time I rebuilt myself I got harder and stronger until all my feelings went numb. I had to master the darkness and the chaos. Now I want nothing more than to bring the light I lost to others for it is the only way I can feel. Through others.
