BestHike - Scrambling Fossá, Faroe Islands
Fossurin í Fossá is one of the highest waterfalls in the Faroe Islands. Super popular with tourists.
You can drive to the base easily.
I did the surprisingly difficult scramble up in-between the two falls. It was a rush.

BestHike to Leynar, Faroe Islands

Leynar is just another scenic coast village in the Faroe Islands. Population 116. I'd heard about a popular route for locals, crossing a mountain pass and finishing in Leynar. It's not on any tourist guidebook I've seen, including AllTrails. VERY enjoyable. Trip Report besthike.com/2024/08/08/hiking-to-leynar-faroe-islands/ Song: Kidswaste - Beautiful Life (feat. For years I've wanted to hike the Faroe Islands. Arrived July 28, 2024. I have 11 days to explore. A roof over my head every night but one. Most of this ominous advance video I put together during the pandemic. Dreaming of finally getting to the 18 rocky, volcanic islands between Iceland and Norway. like SAS i have flown drone for 10yrs from Phantom 2 to Mavic 3 Cine. The way you went for the grab is Crazy. Bring drone down to waist height, walk slowly behind it, place thumb and forefinger on the battery locks, turn sideways or just shut the motors down. A rookie mistake, but hey we all start at the same place

Not a huge deal but I'm an avid naturalist so don't like misleading information about the natural world being put out there on social media - particularly when it involves a species that has had a history going from being endangered (and extirpated from our region) to making a comeback. My request would just be to please be aware of this in the future :-). And FYI - the wildflowers have started to bloom along Jack Point - one of the earliest locations in our region.

What a crab video! How did you prepare for this? Did you ever read any of the papers they provide.... they state more than clearly what you can expect and what the best equipment is? Did you download the past edition tracks and check the terrain? And finally did you ever watch any of the past videos from Tuscany-Trail here at YT. This is not the terrain for a road cycle with luggage on it for a world-round trip ( btw. did a world around 30 years ago for more than 2 years and had less luggage on my bike than you did ). And the whole Video gets even worse, when you read the trip-report on your web-site. You are exactly the type of person we need here, I guy flying over from canada exhausting tons of CO2 endangering himself ( and others) due to inappropriate preparation in an unsupported bike event, and then complaining about the host countries and even worse about the people living there. In addition you have only semi-knowledge about Europe ( in Germany and Switzerland you will not find any open shops on Sundays - in Italy you certainly do - I know I am German ). How dare you criticise a foreign lifestyle without any knowledge and certainly a lack of common sense Recommendation for further "adventures" - stay at home :-). Cannot imagine how you prepare your "coaching" if you are going that unprepared on a trip.
