GRANDMA2 ONPC + REAPER - MIDI TIMECODE INTO MA2 OnPC (TUTORIAL)

Hello, thank you very much for the helpful video. I have a question about this. Now you have generated midi timecode yourself from the PC. But how does it work when a band or a DJ sends you LTC? Do you then need an audio interface and a program that converts LTC to MTC? Many thanks and all the best
No worries, glad it could help. When with an artist you need to connect into the console via the hardwares LTC port (GrandMA2 Lite, Full or Command wing)
How to download showkontrol?
www.tc-supply.com/downloads You’ll need to purchase either a Live or Club license. I use club.
Nice Vids, Great Job!
Glad you like them!
Bro can I grab you on discord call be cool to chat sometime. I'm legit doing this same thing but with ETC EOS . I'm using (MTC) with reaper and loop midi instead of a audio interface . I have Qlab and Resolume doing OSC over a network and have NDI setup with go pros that are TC into my cuestack so I can get certain footage of clips on resolume to trigger. I'm just starting TH-cam but will be uploading some videos soon of my rig
Nice man, honestly stopped doing lighting. Only VJ, Cameras & Pyro for me now. Hope your video on setup goes well
Yes bro! Always looking forward to more content from you 🔥
Cheers bro, definitely need to get more content out
How did u become an LD it’s a career I’m looking into. I just do not know how to get started.
Worked at a local production company for years learning everything there is to learn about lighting rigs. Then spend a lot of time developing skills behind console, heads up you’ll spend a lot of time waiting for your opportunity. take it when it comes
Sparks Team forever ⚡❤️
⚡️ 🔥
Never stop making videos!
I’ll do my best, need to force myself to get the camera out
Appreciate the support mate
I've said it before but it can't be said enough, the amount of work that you do on these shows is mindblowing. I don't think i would even know where to start😂! Well done man, mad respect!
Haha Thankyou mate. Fake it until you make it, also spend countless hours preparing
From Epic Prague where I was at the show to Airbeat One where I was at the show as well🙌 another great video, thanks for that!
Hope you enjoyed both of those shows. Epic is always a big night.
Yes! Love the vids
Thankyou 🙏
White lights is back baby
The rumours were true
bro is back🔥🔥🔥
Feels good to be back
THIS IS VERY GOOD VIDEO HOW TO MAKE PLAY WHITE FLASH WITH NORMAL COLOR LIKE OTHER COLOR
Glad you liked the video
Looking forward to your new video on your recent learnings!
There will be more to come soon.
I've done the same thing with the input map knowing full well you can lose resolution if the slices become smaller than the output size. The "problem" though is we get some VJs through our club (Exchange LA, nice to see you used a camera still from the last time you were through haha) who don't own Stageflow, or barely know how to use Slice Transform correctly, so I kinda feel like the input map needs to be as "plug and play" as possible for some people.
Thankyou for your comment, hope to be back at exchange some time soon.
man this really helps me a lot. I didn't know you could get the release mode to recognize the off time by the way I was doing it and as a busker I like to have as many different types of bumps as possible. this will really help out with my exec real estate. thanks!
Hey I’m glad you found it helpful. Yes saving console realestate is important, enjoy the power of Go Release.
12:50 haunts me in my nightmares
Ohh god. My bad, I’ve stopped doing that. I hadn’t found a video explaining the best way to deal with this.
@@CamWhiteLights all good, bud. Happy to hear you're open to learning about different ways to approach things
@hybridjoris always, nothing beats learning from others. Would be dumb to think I knew the best way, especially being a lighting guy pretending to be a VJ 😂
Love your work Cam ❤
Thankyou
Love these videos
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed.
Great video!
Much appreciated.
Love it!
Cheers Morph.
dope... keep up the good work
Thanks, will do!
Class insight as always man, look forward to the next one!
Thanks mate, hope to have one for you soonn
Nice mate. Keeping Lighting TH-cam alive. ;)
Trying to, harder than what people think. Time for you to get back onto the vlogs brother
hi! about the way u set ur input map, that's not "wrong" per se, but if the slices become smaller than their actual resolution in the output, you are loosing resolution. it still works and everything, but if the producers spent for some quality of ledwall, it's kind of bad to use less of it (even if the prolly won't even notice :P )
Ive recently been working some festivals with great VJs, they’ve shown me the correct way to do the input map. I might need to do a new video with my recent learnings. I’ve always used the full led wall, more a case of making the input smaller before. Thankyou for your comment, was hoping someone would give me some input on the correct ways.
@@CamWhiteLights Great to see you are learning and taking stuff onboard mate. I'm always here if you ever have any questions too :)
How do you get the layers without big thumbnails?
Next tot the name of the layer there is a + or - that collapses the layer.
👊👊👊👍
👊🏻🙌🏻
How can I see my output in a 3d layout of the stage❤
Best way is to send out of Resolume using NDI into a visualiser.
question, did you buy your own console, and if you did how long did it take you to save up to buy one. as i want to freelance but I dont know how to get the home to buy a console
Hey, I haven’t bought my own console. I use MA2 onPC +Wysiwyg to program. Only have consoles if I hire or I’m at shows that provide. You definitely don’t need one to learn or tour. I find it’s best to become competent with minimal hardware.
Awesome content, thanks
Thankyou, glad you enjoyed the video.
As a FoH lighting guy who just have a poorly made resolume file for the 3 times a year i get to do both, its amazing to get to see how its done properly! Hopefully I'll see you in norway someday!
Thankyou, wouldn’t say I do it properly but I try my best to make it work. Maybe one day soon friend 😊
Finally a new video!
Happy to be of service
Killing it!
Thankyou mate 😊
Hi mate really good video ! I am an apprentice lighting tech so I really enjoy videos like this !
Glad you enjoyed.
Great video, keep em coming! :)
Thankyou, I definitely need to work on more videos.
Such a great video! Could you explain how your song macros are setup? How they prep timecode, your sequence, etc?
I’ll look at doing a video on this when I get back home. Thank you for your message
Hey, if I have 16 time codes, with different times, how can I order I Reape???
Sorry not entirely sure what you’re asking?? Christian Jackson also has a video, maybe that can help. th-cam.com/video/dNFdGX9Fzyk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-I5ufHgrmdQ7zWzb
Hello, very good video, I have a question, is there a way not to use pioneer that is cheaper, greetings
You can use Reaper. It is a cheap option th-cam.com/video/CzZp2TdhtR0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uEHfgjSkPDW-YmKy
Awesome video! Would you be able to maybe make a tutorial on the cloning side of things? I work in clubs as a result I don't ever do any cloning and I'm wanting to learn more about it :)
Hoping to do an in depth cloning video soon. It’s all about fixture selection & preparing your show file correctly. Currently on tour, so hopefully soon
Great tutorial. No fluff, just straight to the point. 👍
Thankyou
I see you got Dave on your arm ❤ Good man
I sure do, dave is the Man 👌🏼

Hey. No hardware required.
It's a very kind explanatory video. 😄
