Hi comp 1 demon I have a question for ya I have a Alesis DM10 and a ion drum rocker brain module also how did you get RockBand to pick up a blue cymbal note when open your hi-hat control or take your foot off the hi-hat pedal Ive been trying to do this forever cause its more realistic when playing as all blue notes are often hi-hat open not the ride. Hope you can help

you should post a video, i wouldn't mind seeing the setup.

Patience. Sit and tune each one. Know your playing style and your hardness and softness. Some times certain fils and such require finesse and if they don't pick up softer hits you can miss out on a registered note, then on the other hand you don't want them over sensitive. I had them picking up hits from other pads and that is not good either. Crosstalk needs to be eliminate as well.

hey man i really appreciate these videos , i have the j5 brain, aswell mine looks a little different but i paid a pretty penny for my ion setiup, i was unaware of its capabillities at the time when i bought it but i cant say i can play ghwt and other gh 5 lane on my ions, i was watching about the sensitivity issues im having with mine, i think the "pods" or whatverr he called them need to be adjusted any tips for fixing it?

the guitar hero drum only have a midi in but how can I take my guitar hero drum and plug it into my pc to run a drum vst on it ?

The Guitar hero drum module modded will allow you to use an ION set as well...

Your best bet is this.... Use a STOCK GUITAR HERO Module (take it off the drums) or you can buy one on eBay for super cheap. THe box has MIDI OUT., Use the Midi out from the GH box to a Drum brain so you can set off kit sounds of your choice from a drum module and also trigger the game as well. That way you can just GAME if you want or if you want to game with hearing YOUR drumming you can turn on the drum machine module.

All my modules are 1/4 inch in. What do you plan on using the most? 5 lanes GH or 4 lanes (rockband)? A guitar hero module can be made into a module that will output to 1/4 inch. It's pretty easy.

My Modules were Custom Built for me. I actually did not want the stock versions of them. I have a ton of them. I own one of every revision. I am not sure how you want to hook everything up, but I have many modules I don;t use any more. If you want to use a real drum brain and then translate the Midi notes then that is a great solution. If you just want a simple way to use both you just need a guitar hero J5 which will do both.
