Perifit Pump FINALLY Arrives in the US!
Wow we love this!! Thank you so much for your kind review!
Thanks for watching! We love your products!
you haven't posted a video in a long time...welcome back!!!! .. perhaps you should do a demo as well ..
I'm getting this breastpump shipped atm and super excited about the heating feature! But i also ordered the momcozy s12 pro. I usually just use my spectra so this is the first time I bought one that doesn’t require me to be stuck to a wall. Since this video was created how do you like it so far??
I've had hiccups within the testing and product delays with their 27 flanges, so unfortunately I haven't been able to share my thoughts officially yet.
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌💐
Any update on this? How’s the output? How’s the suction? How is it compared to other wearables? How’s the cleaning? Does it break easily?
It is fairly solid for a wearable, but it is very large causing more issues for mothers and bra fit. Poor bra fit hinders the effectiveness of the pump. It cleans well and holds up as any other so far.
I can’t wait for you to do a tear down of this one the pro
Great video but why doesn’t the coupon code work for the Pro model???
Thanks! The company was supposed to change it to reflect, but it doesn't look like that has happened. Try Lioness75 - I just tested it and that one is live
It’s so frustrating when companies mislead moms or try to manage pumps they clearly don’t even understand on a basic level.
Such a great video! Did you do a follow up video with actually using the app and it's features? I've been trying to do some research on this particular pump, as being a first time working mom! My son will be one in less than two weeks and idk when my pumping journey will come to an end 😫
Not yet!
Any update for this cup? How is the seal? And the suction power when attatched to wall pump or portable pump?thank you
They leak and will completely drown a pump if you overfill it or bend over. They are not capable of maintaining proper suction for other pumps. They are not worth giving money for.
@@thenaturallioness please can you tell me how it works
$0.68 per bag is pricey. I just checked some comparables to see if my sticker shock was justified or not. As of date of this post, Willow 360 bags run 62-43 cents, that is $30-21 for 48 count pack. Kindee Bags (screw into a traditional flange in lieu of a bottle) can run about 31 cents a bag if you're buying 160 count box for $60-50 (there's always some kind of promo with them). And then your regular style of zip top milk storage bags (Lansinoh, Nuk, Baby Lemon, Zomee, Motiff, whatever) run more like $15-13 cents per bag if you're buying a 100 count bag/box.
Exactly and for what these Momcozy bags offer they are so overpriced that it isn't even worth the cost of upkeep on the cups.
This is dangerous
Extremely!
Thank you for your review! Darn it, I just got the Mobile Style M6, and they roll this out less than a month later, lol. Is this slimmer in profile compared to the Mobile Style M6? Is it as small and discreet as the Elvie Original? Do the lights stay on during the entire session? Do you know that they are rolling out another new pump soon? Do you have any inside scoop on what that pump will be like? Thank you very much!
Yes they are rolling out pumps far too quickly. It is not smaller than the Elvie original, so far nothing has beat out Elvie. I was out of office today, so I will work on testing the lights and other questions soon. They do have more in the works it appears but I do not have key details on that. As soon as I do I'll make a video about what the paper trails are showing since I don't have any connections within Momcozy.
Circling back: No the Mobile Flow is not more discreet than the M6, it's possibly a hair larger. The Elvie OG is still slimmer in projection than the Mobile Flow. The lights do not stay on the whole session, and when using the buttons on the pump you have to push a button to basically "wake it up" and then change settings. They are launching another pump in the late summer from what I understand but it's a remake of an older pump of theirs.
@@thenaturallionessdo you happen to know which pump they are planning on remaking?
The v1/v2 is getting an upgrade - they just launched new cups that I have on order
I was about to buy the M6, would you recommend this one instead?
Myself and Jessica @genuinelactation is currently testing both. Both pumps have been kicked out extremely quick without proper paperwork clearance and other methods of safe guards, so it gives me a pause for concern. The M6 is not proving to be a terrible programming so far, but it's still early. Smart pumps tend to be more trouble, but if you have the ability to wait on either pump I would. You can join the Facebook group Wearable Pump Paperweight Prevention for more comparisons.
Oh nooo already im not hopeful at all! I was already disappointed when i saw how fast they hammered out another pump
Same... and to think another is one the way too...
I expected this was going to look more like an S21. It looks much fussier to assemble and clean than an S21.
Definitely far more fussy than I expected from them. The "Mobile Style" non-smart pump they just rolled out does look like a S21 had a baby with this one. Jessica with @genuinelactation has that one in hand and is testing it so hopefully we can get information out on both before they launch a 3rd pump....
Ooo maybe I was thinking of the “Mobile.” I can’t keep up.
Useful, thank you!
The one big issue that I have with Medela and the 2.0 cups is that they tell moms they do not to take the o-ring off and wash it, but I have seen several moms upset about mold growing because they don’t know how milk got there if they aren’t supposed to remove it. The tab that they place inside the cup pulls milk down below the silicone. That is how they keep getting moms with “there are still only 3 parts to wash”.
Yeah I addressed that in my original cup 2.0 video, but poor marketing is normal unfortunately, even Willow and others do it. Functionally speaking there's no issue with them and as I stated only those that had the first version would know anything different in terms of cleaning and sealing needs. th-cam.com/video/X4jvZ0arf7M/w-d-xo.html
I’m interested about this since they just released another pump. They have so many pumps out and I feel like it becomes FOMO for moms with them.
Yeah the FOMO tactic is Momcozy's main success for marketing.
Thank you!
Does the back cap get sterilized?
No - only the washed components were sterilized.
Any advice on how to make sure your nipple is actually centered and properly aligned in the flange when you put it on? Even with the motor detached from the top, I am unable to see my nipple through everything. I am getting 1/4 of the amount in the same amount of time as other pumps and just trying to make it work more comfortably. It doesn’t feel near as comfortable and I can’t tell if my nipple is rubbing the side of the flange or not?
This video covers alignment. If pumping is still uncomfortable or getting poor alignment then bra fit and sizing would need to be evaluated. You can join the wearable pump paperweight prevention group for help or if you want more 1:1 help you can book a consultation. Website: www.thenaturallioness.com/ Wearable Pump Paperweight Prevention Group: facebook.com/groups/pumpthemilk/
I have a pair that ended up being extremely painful on me. I emailed their customer support and they offered to connect to me someone to help me trouble shoot it but that pain was so bad I’m not sure I want to try to use it again
Yes it can be very extreme and I totally understand not wanting to try it again. Definitely check out those videos I linked in the description.
Wow thank you! I honestly grew up braking down electronics (mp3 players, barbie toys.. definitely dating myself). So I really appreciate your channel cause I am in general curious about the mechanics of the pumps. ❤ If you can please do some videos on the Bellababy portable pumps. I know the original with 4modes is more known but it is very hard to find content about the Mini O and the Pocket (that seems to be a variation of the Baby Buddha.
I have the original double pump on hand. I can certainly try getting the older models in the future too, but there's a lot happening in the pump market right now. There won't be any BellaBaby content for a while. Anything specific you're looking for or just the teardowns?
@@thenaturallioness Hi thank you for responding 😊❤️. So I am interested in the teardowns and the reviews in general. Also I understand not having Bellababy content is no problem.
i had a Willow 3.0 with my 3rd baby and loved it. it worked great other than the fact that i to do 2 warranty replacements to which they were actually very accommodating and sent me new ones after a just little bit of troubleshooting. i had great output with them and my last set (from the warranty replacement) surprisingly lasted me about 5 1/2 months with my youngest baby. Unfortunately by then it was out of warranty, i didnt have the extended so i decided to buy a new one. i went with the Willow Go this time mostly since it had the 7oz container option because i tend to pump about 7-8 oz per boob per sesh and a 7oz container was super convenient, read some reviews, watched some videos, felt good about the purchase and couldnt wait to start using them. it's been 5 days and i havent been able to get a single drop with these damn things but when i use my manual pump i get milk. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! Considering how expensive these are and how important of a tool they are to milking mamas, you'd think they would come with a lifetime warranty or at the very least last for more than a handful of months at a time if youre lucky. anywho, rant over. i do have a question! so with the willow 3.0 it would "latch" and seal around your nipple and if the seal broke, the pump would stop. this one doesnt do that does it? i assumed it would since the 3.0 did but mine doesnt. i have yet to find a video or a reddit post or anything addressing this so that also leads me to assume that its not meant to do that. which i find odd because i can literally just slip my pumps off mid sesh and they'll keep going. i feel like thats not right? send halp please! lastly, this was a great and very in depth review and i appreciate how honest you were! you definitely gained a subscriber in me! Wish i would have seen this and similar reviews prior to purchasing especially since its unlikely i can get my money back or swap back to the 3.0 but ill figure something out! :)
The Go is a tug and release suction rather than the constant suction of the 3.0, so it won't latch like that. However you should have had a fast response to it - join the Wearable Pump Paperweight Prevention Group and myself or team can help get things figured out for you!
I’m so curious about this pump. In my American mind, French design is stereotypically either exquisite - making the most difficult of things look charming and effortless - or… surprising and novel but maybe not super practical - like a car you one can drive either from the front or from the rear (ok neat trick but did we need it? Je ne sais pas. ) Yeah the Perifit replacement parts are pricer than, say, the Zomee Fit replacement parts. I’m Not sure how Perifits replacement costs compare to Willow or Elvie. But also at this point those brands might have insurance resupply codes whereas this brand being new to the US market I assume it’ll take a hot second for insurance codes to be forthcoming. I’m interested in how the milk sensor works. It could be magical or it could be something users want to override. Looking forward to hearing or seeing more once you’ve taken it for a spin. Have fun!
I’m interested to see how this compares to the willow. I get this one free through my insurance and the Willow will run about 120$ I’m trying to decide what one will be best.
The Lansinoh is a waste of insurance benefits to be honest. We also see this technology causing nipple damage and tanking milk supplies. I would see my Willow videos, but the $120 would be the better option.
@@thenaturallionesswhy exactly is it a waste if you don't mind sharing your reasoning.
@@1bluegreen2 the technology does not trigger the hormones to drive milk supply and the internals are the same as $30 pumps from Amazon. I have a few videos including a review in the works.
Interesting. Thank you!
Good video! you didn't post video in a long time, i was hoping that you are ok!
So Willow is pulling an Ameda, Motif, & Medela stunt. I guess we should pretty much prepare for over time the companies are going to change pumps without changing names because they know otherwise moms may not buy them. This is really disappointing for how much these pumps cost.
Absolutely... Hopefully with us testing and monitoring these changes then bring awareness, maybe we can force them to realize moms are not ok with this. Maybe even get oversight over these companies pushed through. There is so much to share, it just requires time getting all the facts straight for families... More to come!
@@thenaturallioness I am on my 6th EP journey. I used Willow 2.0 and got caught by the firmware update right after I bought them and it destroyed my nipples. I ended up with the 3.0 immediately when it released. I also had the original Luna as my main pump with a plug in and 2 battery powered, so watching what they have done is so disappointing. I’m so thankful I kept my original Luna because watching moms with the new version who are on their 3rd, 4th or 5th is just so sad. I personally got caught by the Medela Freestyle mess, I had the Flex made in 2019 but got it in 2020, it is still going strong. Got the new Handsfree and I’m on my 4th since May but this time they sent me a Flex motor made in March 2023 which seems like it will have the same issues as the Handsfree motor since they have the same firmware. I also have a Swing Maxi so my trusty Flex and Swing Maxi because I haven’t been willing to tempt with the new Flex motor yet.
Yeah it's terrible. I got burned by the 2.0 update with my first as well, but thankfully was just in warranty... I never could adjust to any of the 3.0s due to many changes that they did in a short timeframe with attempts for both journey 2 & 3... Wall pumps aren't going anywhere anytime soon due to the shady company practices.
@@thenaturallioness when I had my first there was the old school PISA. I used a PISA for 1-3 then 4 was the Spectra S1 & then for babies 5 & 6 we won’t discuss how many different pumps I have used.
Which one is better?
I prefer Willow. I and others have found that Youha/ O'Natural is dependant on who manufactured it (quality control). If you want more information on Willow, check out my group @WillowPumpSupport on Facebook.
If using lactek inserts with willow bags is it still leak proof?
& you don’t recommend the momcozy inserts for willow would you like recommend lactek? What about the willow brand inserts?
Lacteck in gen 1 & gen 2 willow pumps are fine, and as long as you properly fit them in the flanges they are still leakproof. Gen 3 willow pump with lacteck are not recommended due to the suction pattern it has tends to cause extreme pain. Momcozy inserts are not recommended for willow at all as they are too short and cause damage.
Does pumping hurt ?
It's possible but it is not supposed to. Proper flange sizing is key to avoid pain and damage. I'd recommend finding an IBCLC with pumping knowledge. You can find them online if there is not one local to you.
AliExpress has this pump for $97 for a single, $119 for a double pre tax. I paid $130 after tax and shipping. It is the youha ins gen 2- is that the same as the pump you reviewed here? With the new brand name change you mentioned ? Thanks for doing this review !! I hope the pump works for me. I just ordered yesterday so I’ve yet to try it 🤞🏻
Yes the youha ava gen 2/ youha ins gen 2 is the same pump. There is some speculation that the pumps directly from Youha instead of from O'natural are not painful. Hopefully you will find that to be true for you. 🙂
Do you know if the duckbill is supposed to have a slit in it? I ordered it off of AliExpress also and my duckbills are closed. When I tried it, the milk was not flowing into the container.
@@christinatran2535 yes they should have the normal duckbill split. It sounds like yours may have a defect. Did you get a back up one in the box?
@@thenaturallioness yea, it came with an additional duckbill but that also is closed. i went ahead and created an additional slit, but noticed that on one of the pump, milk flows into the membrane. Trying to figure out why that is. Also, when i tested it out.... it was not painful, so maybe the speculation you mentioned is true.
@@christinatran2535 so strange about the duckbills! It makes me wonder if the lip on the duckbills or the cutout it inserts into are off? Maybe that's how it's getting to the membrane? I know @newlittlelifebyallison had that issue when she got hers! I'm so thankful yours isn't painful! That's great for moms to know to just get it from Youha instead. O'natural customer service is definitely awful. Maybe you will have better luck with Youha, I'd reach out and tell them.
I found youha quite gentle...
Thank you so much for this amazing review!!!! ❤️
Happy too! I love them! IG content coming soon!💕
