AN awesome looking object. Not much to do with actual living.
How do more 'luxury' residences solve the housing crisis? What is needed are affordable 2 bedroom 1000 sq. ft. living spaces in the $250,000 - $300,000 range. Something that will carry for $1500 to $1700 per month. This is the only scenario that will keep those not making more than $100,000/yr. from being raped for $3000/mo for a 2 bedroom apt.
Did anyone review this video before publishing images of NY hotel in Las Vegas?
It's certainly not a beacon of progress...
Luxury Condos is the reason why there is a housing shortage. Stop building luxury condos when there is no need. start building affordable housing
You really just call Venezuela "the safest country in America?" 😂
The plague delayed much construction during the age of darkness it delivered.
This project is not for the citizens who need housing. Do your homework. This is a vanity project for the super rich.
Nothing gets done fast anymore in Canada massive projects like this are beyond what’s capable now in a country that is in decline. In China this would be finished in 2 years So far it’s been 8 years and they aren’t even close to finishing this building
Toornto is the worst city in Canada .In order to surpass Montreal , Toornto merged cities as far as 150 kn away with nothing in commun and only one nightmare highway . The subaw is falling apert and the 3 rd worst traffic in teh world. Cyclists lives in Toronto do not matter . Not a fan of the design so unbalanced just looks off.
Just FYI, zoning was changed last year
Is that good or bad for the project?
This Cathedral blew our minds back in 2012, let us know what you think!
Hey
That thing went bankrupt once. Is it going bankrupt again? Stay out of Toronto's real estate market. SELL!
City zoning is often very ahort sighted. The city that people enjoy and want to live in are often thawrted from naturaly evolving by micro managing of government officials
City zoning is important. If there is no single family home left, the successful entrpreneurs and professionals will leave the city for Misssisaauga and Vaughan. You want to have single family homes in the city to keep some people happy.
@@ahmedzakikhan7639lol, I have bunch of friends - professionals, they prefer walkable areas. The quality of life is just better there. You can’t get enough density and walkability with single detached houses.
Thank God 🙏🙏🙏
高税收,高房价,高债务!再见多伦多!
Lol, Libya's aqueducts are not 'creating sustainable agriculture' when they are draining a limited aquifer. Is it a great project and is the agriculture productive? yes, is it sustainable? not forever.
Thank you for the clarification. Yes we agree, agriculture created will be sustainable until the end of the aquifer. Unless they come up with something g else… thank you for watching us!

I'm Parisian, I haven't heard anyone complain... it's bullshit 😘
Thank you for watching! By complain we refer to the petition signed by thousands and the comments by various personalities. Many also love the project, probably the majority, but there is controversy!
@@Megalith_EN At the time the Eiffel Tower had to be dismantled, it was a big petition too. And for the Louvre pyramid it was the same.. there are always some shocked people from the future to bring it back

Blame Trudeau, his immigration and economic policies have raised inflation to the point Canada is close to economic collapse.

what a disingenuous statement. aka dumb
Parisians angry?!? Whhaaaattttttt?🤯 Shocking!!! Absolutely shocking!!!!! 😱😱
HOT FARTS!!
What are the maintenance fees? What are the taxes? How is this project an answer to the housing crisis? The race for the tallest building is not the answer.
the one, and all the other supertalls planned for TO will do nothing to help solve the housing crisis in the city. these condos are all priced out of reach for almost everyone who wants to live downtown. only foreign investors will end up buying into these buildings and the only way to see inside the units is if they're available as B&Bs, something the city has already introduced legislation to prevent. I'm all for progress and enjoy seeing the skyline change and get taller but it's already impossible to afford most of Toronto's city life. supertalls solely for the super rich just makes it worse.
That's the point. It's meant for status and the rich. It's the gateway building to Yorkville.
@nanaokyere7141 fine. I'm not against the building being for the wealthy. but the narrator suggested it was being built as a response to the housing crisis. it's not. if anything it just contributes to it when you consider most of the units will likely stay empty because they're owned by some foreign investor. the current legislation to put a stop to that has too many loopholes for the status quo to remain. but again, I have no problem having our own "billionaires row" like New York has. but don't say it's to help alleviate the housing crisis. ftr the city should make up for what this building isn't doing with other more affordable projects elsewhere downtown. nevertheless I was only correcting a point the narrator made.
They really don’t make it worse. People who can afford it will move into these types of luxury buildings, and to do so they will move out of their former home. That frees up space from cheaper types of housing. It also means that less rich people will be competing with poorer people for housing, as the rich will take this type of luxury over less luxuriant homes if given the option. Even expensive luxury homes increase the supply and thus increase competition and reduce prices. Plus, in 50 years or so, the housing will no longer be the fancy new luxury housing, but more affordable housing. If you are serious about getting housing prices down, you have to welcome all types of new construction. Developers aren’t too keen on building housing in a place they know they can’t profit, so you have to be willing to let them profit.
@spacefun101 you seem oblivious to the the housing crisis that's currently gripping the city and the fact the gap between rich and poor is widening in Toronto, the increase in poverty, the decimated middle class and the fact most of the condos paid for and designed for the wealthy in Toronto remain empty, owned mostly by foreign investors NOT Torontonians from a home in the suburbs, the Annex, Cabbagetown or wherever... or are used as B&Bs for tourists. I don't think you realize Toronto has one of the biggest homeless populations of all major cities, with some stats putting Toronto's bigger than New York's. But your grammar is pretty good. 👍
@ Why can’t you just build enough housing for the poor, the rich, and the tourists? If you don’t allow enough housing to be built for all those uses, well, someone is going to lose out, and you can bet it won’t be the rich or the tourists. You speak of Toronto having the highest homelessness rates, so maybe you should learn from the place with the lowest. Can you guess which major city in the US and Canada has the lowest homelessness rates? That’s right it’s Houston Texas. Can you guess which major city in the US or Canada has the least restrictive construction market? That’s right, it’s also Houston Texas. This is no coincidence.
Keep the Notre Dame Gardens and complex as is... a historic site. Progress isn't everything.
She was just a surrogate mother not a Goddess .

Fees to get in the church could be a good idea. A paywall could help preserve and protect the structures. Europe going more socialist and open borders makes these structure vulnerable to drifters and punks.... :D Could be better said. Yet the numbers show it is a problem.
Marcon is a globalist and doesn't give you much confidence in preserving any national history.

It should be remembered that Macron didn't want to rebuild the spire but instead wanted to replace the spire with a glass structure to "modernise" it. Thank goodness the French and also people around the world rebelled against his idea!

Did they paint XII century cathedra white?
Meh, Freud said all religions claim they are about love when in fact they perpetuate the exact opposite behaviour. There is no evidence I can see today that has substantively refuted his wisdom.
I visited Notre Dame in 1985. It is on my bucket list to see the church again before I die. God willing.
"Howbeit the Most High dwelleth not in houses made with hands; as saith the prophet, The heaven is my throne, And the earth the footstool of my feet: What manner of house will ye build Me? saith the Lord: Or what is the place of my rest? Did not my hand make all these things?" (Acts 7: 48-50, ASV) Where is the God's House in real? 1Corinthians 3: 16-17: "Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye." 2Corinthians 6: 16: "And what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for we are a temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." God's Temple - Christians, but "Christian" leaders call man-made rooms "temple". They even encourage Christians to sacrifice themselves for those idols... At the same time they spend billions to deceive people. The reason why pagans have become so shameless is Devil runs the world. He is liar and murderer. This is the reason why deception and violence are everywhere. This is the reason why Hitler got the power, but Christ was executed as "blasphemer" and "rioter" by denunciation of clergy. This is the reason why the whole world is Sodom. That's why we've got the Gospel about the God's kingdom. Jehovah would put everything in order. He has anointed the king, Jesus Christ. The dead will be resurected and we'll meet our loved ones again! :-)
Brilliant news that this beautiful building has reopened after such a tragic event. Thanks to all the trades who used their skills to achieve the end result 👏
