Enbluement: connecting science and arts to expand our belonging to the Ocean (Part 2)
This is the second part of the Enbluement event, organized as part of the 2024 UN Ocean Decade Conference, co-created by the Blue Genes Community. The event gathered over 150 participants in Barcelona, featured inspiring workshops and participatory celebrations, including an engaging shoal of fish dance, and a youth choir. Artworks such as "Inverted Earth" and "Letter to the Ocean," created by the , were also showcased. Supported by over 30 dedicated volunteers, Enbluement offered an immersive and interactive experience that deepened our collective connection to the Ocean.

    "With 2C warming virtually all coral reefs will be lost" Hahahahaha. Total BS. Where do you people get this? Life finds a way. It adapts. 2C in a hundred years is nothing!

    "I am not a biologist ..." And even biologists get it wrong. They underestimate the capability of living things to adapt. Life finds a way.

    the BS about continental ice melting. It won't melt in 10 thousand years even if we go by IPCC 8.5 scenario. There is not enough heating via CO2 to raise the temperature of Antarctica to above 0C. Negative feedback from clouds will set in long before that.

  • @pulsar22
    @pulsar22 ปีที่แล้ว

    The graph at 5:00 is disingenuous. It has different time scale on the x-axis and it tacks on prediction that hasn't happened yet thus making warming look more dangerous than it currently is. The graph at around 6:15 is also BS. It shows OHC from 1960 of which they absolutely have NO SOLID DATA to rely on. It is only starting in 1990s that we have proxy data for OHC derived from the height of the ocean. Only from around 2000 that we have Argo floats to actually measure temperature from 0-2000m below. Definitely, this graph is a misrepresentation of the data we have. We know nothing of the past yet they present it with such confidence.

    Extinction-Level Event The Era of honest scientific studies is dead. It died by political grant. These paid for productions are right up there with the Salem witch climate crisis or don't fall off the earth flat earthers. You'd think being wrong 100% of the time would bring at least a pause , a question, But no....... Shame on you Oddly the cure for what ever flavor of todays climate crisis happens to be is always the same, more taxes , wealth redistribution and liberty lost

  • @daysofourtime
    @daysofourtime ปีที่แล้ว

    ZERO, Co 2 a trace gas, statistically it's amt is so small you'd be correct to say there is none in our atmosphere. The oceans produce nearly all of that trace (0.00036 by vol) Amt. If it were a planet warmer, logic would dictate you'd look there first. But no one looks there at all. Nope it's solely man and cow farts responsible, even though we produce trace amts of the tiny trace amt. What then should become apparent is this ain't about global warming. It's paidfor political propaganda, seeking more taxes, wealth re-distribution and liberties lost. Tipping buckets, heating jars, phoney factoid charts are all war ning signs of the rabid fraud contained in all these political paid for productions. Why would anyone use such presentations like tippy shit, hot jars and these phoney charts? If it's global warming let's compare worlds. One with nearly 100% co2 atmosphere, say Mars . Certainly th is will make warming predictions easy as pie, no need to be wrong 100% of the time, like now. Mars well It's over heated to -80 to -200 on average. Toasty. If were at a " tipping pt " it's we're about to wipe out all plant life by starving them of their life sustaining co2. So that a few politicians have trillions to spend and more control of your life

    In the 50s upto the 80s the consensus was of course the ice age was here. The consensus cure was to cover the poles In coal dust. "The evidence in support of these predictions [global cooling] has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it.” The Cooling World“A study release last month by two NOAA scientists that the amount of sunshine reaching the ground in the continental U.S. diminished by 1.3% between 1964 and 1972.” The Cooling World“Telltale signs are everywhere...the thickness of the pack ice...the southward migration of warmth-loving creatures like the armadillo...” Another Ice Age?“Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7 degrees.” Another Ice Age?“The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind,” The Ice Age Cometh!

    I am curious if anyone is thinking about the exponential pressures created in the deepest areas of oceans by increasing volume of ocean water... These deep areas of oceans often are adjacent to lava ridges potentially effecting tectonic plates activity and volcano activity

  • @glenndavis4452
    @glenndavis4452 ปีที่แล้ว

    There are proven volcanoes under the relatively small amount of Antarctic ice sheet that actually is melting. Look at the Marie Byrd area. Light jacket area, with running water. They have also recently discovered running water and lakes UNDER the Greenland ice sheet. There is no way atmospheric warming is creating those.
