Honest to god, i was still as everyone else in the trophy fever for Chelsea, but in 2012, 2013, 2014 our midfield was laughable. They all had their moments but nobody was at the level of Lampard, Essien, Ballack, Makelele, Joe Cole, and Malouda. I never liked Oscar or Ramires,Obi Mikel, Meireles, or Matic, especially after seeing our legends play years ago, when we could beat anyone. I was a kid and i still knew the team gap was immense. We never actually rebuilt after 2010. We just went with the flow and made many transfer decisions, some good, but many very poor. All i say is we should have known we are not as great as before, and we should give the right players more chances. De Bruyne definitely had glimpses of a great player, maybe even more than Oscar or Ramires. But we were still chasing trophies so we had no "time" to see.....We won 2 CL but we've been humbled like never before. Those 2 trophies do not mean anything when everyone laughs at you, cause you don't know your identity anymore. Please bring players with personality at Chelsea again!!!!
