Questions i would have asked the President. 1.Corruption has been an existential threat to Kenya. Auditor Genral reports read like crime scenes. Why not give the auditor general powers to prosecute individuals found culpable of corruption based on Auditor reports. Those mentioned step aside ASAP. The AG will have powers to take individuals to court and use their findings as evidence. Cases to take 1 month max. 2. Senators, Mps, CS's get subsidized housing and cars at 3% and the govt pays the difference in the billions. Do you agree that this should be scrapped and every govt official will buy their own cars at Market rates like every other Kenyan. 3. Why should Legislators get sitting allowances while they get paid a salary. Do you agree in scrapping sitting alllowances? 4. Magafuli saved his country 430million dollars (not shillings) by cancelling all foreign trips by govt and legislators, only allowed essential travel. Anyone traveling had to get permission from him or Chief of staff. These funds were used to provide free primary and secondary education. $430m is double Kenyas education budget. Now imagine how much Kenya is using on travel alone? probably double of $430m. Mr. Presdient why not do the same. 5. According to a Senator, too many institutions inlcuding your office have bursaries. Every constituency has a bursary of 50m each. We have 249 constituencies. 249 x 50=20b. Governors have a bursary fund of between 200m-300m. 300m x 47counties=20b. women rep, Mps also have a bursary fund totaling to almost 40b. This is 80b plus that can be channeled to free Secondary education plus if you stopped foreign travel plus the current budgeted 600b a year for education this could total to almost 1 trillion without raising taxes , which can provide every child in Kenya from Elementary to University getting a free education. plus pay teachers a living wage plus provide every school with the needed infrastructure. Mr. president do you agree? 6. The education budget is 600b almost equivalent to the GDP of some countries. With this much money it makes no sense why education is not free. Can you please order a forensic audit to see where this money is going. There was an audit report that found that funds were going to non existent schools and nothing has been done. we all know where there is alot of money corruption follows. Do you agree on an forensic Audit of the education budget.?
