I was a Pennsylvanian living in Gloucestershire UK when this band came on the UK scene. Their sound was so English I had no idea they were American.. much less from working-class, Lynyrd-Skynyrd-loving Modesto CA. Fantastic band and I've caught 'em live a few times here in the PA-NJ region.

Doubt you read the comments on here, but here goes! I just wanted to ask if there's any update on the documentary, I remember hearing about it in a reddit AMA a few years back but haven't heard much since. If its still happening I'm excited, but if its not i understand.

About a year and a half ago I had an experience that began a sequence of changes of various types in my life and mind. Every time i change, i also find a new grandaddy album that becomes my..sound track. And this is despite being a fan; perhaps i am a lazy fan in that sense, not finding all your work once i discovered you, however i quite enjoy the synchronistic dynamic of how it's played out so..not complaining. I just changed again and then i found Blu Wav, which while I'm thankfully not sailing in the boat of relationship woes (not blatantly anyway), i find the arrangements and melodies actually physically feel good to hear. I thought you guys were no longer current but I am so grateful that you are..like super grateful. It is a great gift to find empathy in sound, so thank you for all of it, for moving through or around life and continuing to make songs that cause my soul to sing and allow my mind some peace. Also, my kids LOVE grandaddy. I am bringing them both to see you at the Chapel in SF. I hope you make music until one or the other of us is dead and friends, if you don't like grandaddy, something's not right with ya.
