I was sad when my order of scent samples forgot to put in Remember Me. It has all of the notes I enjoy. Have you tried Moonmilk by stora skuggan? I have been trying to find something similar to this with base notes of sandal wood and leather. It also plays with combining citrus/lime with milky sandalwood. The lingering musk on this one is so lovely but the opening is very lime forward. I’m hoping Remember me will be a more feminine alternative.

This is one of my favorite perfumes. I remember my mom buying it once and never purchasing it again. She much preferred her Estée Lauder white linen. I’m so glad I was able to find this fragrance again. I have found some knock offs that were close to it, but not quite like it so imagine my surprise when I watch into TJ Maxx one day and saw a bottle and decided to give it a sniff .an oldie but definitely a goodie.

Definitely “ not a perfume”. More “sweaty oily skin”

Fully agree on your comments comparing the original to the 'for men' formulation, the balance just feels off. It was ahead of its time, otherwise I'm sure it would have been marketed as a unisex fragrance.

While she clearly is holding a sample of the Parfum version, she is reciting information specific to the EDT version. Doh! Fragrantica's page for the EDT notes the 2015 release date, the quote from Narciso Rodriguez and the notes that she states. None of this is accurate about the Parfum version, which was released in 2022 and has different notes (principally including iris).

Shalimar is my favorite perfume, after trying green scents for years that didn't blend well on me. Does anyone know of a perfume that has more of that initial oriental incense scent that Shalimar has when you first put it on, in its dry down vs the powdery dry down that Shalimar has?

Dylan Blue is better if you want a panty dropper 😉 Acqua Di Gio is boring, played out, and it doesn't perform. There are way better aquatic fragrances than Acqua Di Gio but the new Acqua Di Gio Profondo is good. Dylan Blue has Ambroxan like Dior Sauvage which women seem to really love.

I also love this vintage fragrance, along with Anais, Anais and White Linen. I am 62 years old, so these are familiar scents. As for women's history in the post-war era, I would recommend a book by Betty Friedan, "The Feminine Mystique". It was published in 1963 after painstaking research and numerous interviews with women who made that transition from holding down the home front for the war effort, to homemaking.

I just received this perfume from my mother-in-law-to-be for my birthday 🤭 and wow, I love it! I have recently been into more warmer amber scents. Smells like an elegant, wealthy,l women in her prime. Top notes are spicy on me and dries down into the bergamot and amber notes. So sexy!

Any alternative or clone is there for this perfume???
