Seinfeld's Kramer: A Michael Richards Production (Physical Comedy Explained)
The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.
Regardless of the mistakes Michael has made it is undeniable that Kramer is a work of art.

    It's definitely in my top 3 films. To butcher it like that was incomprehensible...waiting for the 4K transfer

    This movie treats the tragedy of (failed) friendship and treason like no other one. I was more than once "empty" and dumbfounded after watching it.

    God it’s so tragic that Leone never got to see how respected OUTA would become. Everyone I know who has seen it will confidently say it’s one of the best movies they’ve ever seen.

    One of the best movies ever. Why ppl are so stupid amazes me. When it’s great you don’t want it to end. Who cares about how long it is. Today’s movies on the other hand you’re staring at your phone waiting for it to end.

    Fuck this movie man, I watched it the other day. Off the back of many other great mafia works and even sergio leone works i was confident I would love it. How wrong I was, the rape scene was too much, and the way characters interact over the span of time depicted in the movie was very jarring to me. I assume it was part of the idea that the main characters would be unlikeable, but man I just really could not settle while watching. The score and shots are what make this ok, and the performances are for the majority excellent. It just really infuriated me how much I wanted to like this, but my goodness I hate it. Fuck noodles, I’m glad his life ended up so depressing. I hope he felt remorse for the things he did but given his interaction with the woman whom he assaulted, it’s quite clear to me that he did not.

    I genuinely think that Sergio Leone,if he was born in the 1970s,would have become the biggest movie maker in the world rn. Audiences are used to watching longer movies these days + the rise of the miniseries which seem right up his alley. Telling 8 hour stories in episodes rather than one single movie

  • @ft9303
    @ft9303 ปีที่แล้ว

    The worst part is that Leone’s preferred version was a six hour cut which has never been seen and is considered lost

    I wonder if the fact that these are Jewish characters had something to do with butchering the movie and tanking it on purpose.

    I think Once Upon a Time in America could have been a masterpiece minus the rape scene. That rape scene could have been implied, and not shown in the movie, instead of being graphically shown in the movie.

    I used to watch the European cinematic release length version whenever Channel 4 showed it, as a KID. Loved every minute of it. Any film that can communicate its profundity to you as both a child and an adult is more than likely a poetic masterpiece.

    An absolute epic of a movie. First watched it 1985 when I was 15 (and in its original format, here in the UK). To this day, it remains my favourite gangster movie of all time. However, I haven't watched the extra 20 minutes yet so I'll get around to watching that this weekend.

    A masterpiece! The acting, the music, the story but one needs to see the original long version and not the garbage version that some American editor demanded that Leone chop 90 minutes off and was released in theaters back then.
