Where ever he is you can use barbed hooks just think about that
Nice raft set up . Do you normally run your plugs at 35 or 40 ft?
Best plug run on that system. 🤘🏻🎣🖤🦾
beautiful dogs
Where is this?
notellum lake
Been steelhead fishing 35 years. Males have always been called a buck and females a hen.
Looks like fun every time you get a fish the guy rowing screams at you
@@rileytumblez3750 It’s really a blast!
My bud cecil has that boat
Nice work fellas!
@@pnwchromecatchers We have our days!
What river ? PILCHUCK YOU CANNOT FISH FROM A FLOATING DEVICE
curious what raft do you have? looking at getting one for 2 other occupants like yours
@@lucasglassman7223 It’s a STAR Outlaw 142.
Hurts my shoulder watching you row. Good fish handling releasing them with care. I got my first hatchery wnter today also. 29" 9 1/2lbs...
@@sam-68-56 That’s a decent sized winter! Good job!
not the bass hookset on the plug take 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️
I forgot to tell him that you don't set the hook on plug fish, that was my bad! 🤷♂
Can u make a vid breaking down where steelhead would be holding specifically in winter I’m struggling here I would appreciate some advice lol
The tail outs are the honey holes but in a river like this in the deeper channels or behind big rocks and logs.
Don't mind me asking what stretch of water that is?
That looks like the Nile river
Notellem river up in Washington
What jig were you using?
It was a nightmare pattern.
That is a MAGICAL day and will be hard to beat. Maybe I can fish with you some day?
What part of PNW are you fishing? Great video
Where are you fishing at if I can ask (town or park)
Can you tell me the name of the river. I went to a spot on the American river but got skunked. Looking for a new spot to try
Willapa
How do you cure your eggs they look perfect
@@varmint223 Thanks, I cured these eggs with Pautzke’s Fire Cure in red!
What size is that bead?
@@varmint223 It was a 16mm.
What river is it? I'm ready to submerge the insta360 in the water.

What ounce weights do you pair up with your bobber?
@@jmorrow4221 I use mostly 3/8 oz and 1/2 oz inline weights.
Dropped the beer in😅
What's the whole lingo, callen the steelhead a "buck"?😂
A buck is a male fish and a female is called a hen. Makes no real sense but it is what it is.
What else would you call it.
Buck is a term for a male. Hen is for the female counterpart.
Where at
Wow what a freakin banner day! Super fun to watch, nice work
Great day fishing!. What coastal river was he fishing on?. Very nice holes and river size.
Great video - I hope I see you out on the river! Also, cute dog 🐶
@@rachelwood9040 Thanks, he sure is a cute guy!
Are the dark ones not as good to eat?
@@plopez9152 Typically they aren’t quite as good, but all the fish in this video would have cut just fine!
@ I am new to all this so just trying to watch a learn from what i see lol 😂 great video by the way 👍🏽
@ No problem, we all we’re new at one point. It can feel pretty daunting or overwhelming! Just keep at it and it will all come together!
If it ain't chrome, it don't go home.
Love these small coastal rivers. Have you seen more success on soft beads versus jigs? I'm going to be out there on the weekend of the 28th.
@@UrbanAngler206 It’s been 50/50 for me.
What river
That was a good day on the river.👍
@@OutsideRustedJunkGarage-rp2sr It sure was!
I almost hit up that river on Friday, but went to its sister and did some exploration instead. Surprised you didn't see a lot of people there!
@@KyleArvila It was very busy, I try to find little spots to fish by myself when possible!
@@spooledfishingco it will be now
What rod you using?
@@shamchang9895 I was using a custom tied Rainshadow rod.
what river is this
@@johnwallace5098 I don’t share river names, sorry.
@@spooledfishingcogate keeping a river is wild. The river is for all of us to enjoy.
@mr.treehugger7176 that isn't how this works bud. Go out and find the spots for yourself. A huge part of the sport is exploring river systems and learning the holes, seasons, and techniques that produce fish.
Willapa River. The river is large and plenty of fish for everyone. He's asking for a river name not a specific spot. Johnwallace go watch another content creator and don't subscribe to channels where you don't any support.
@nel8238 why are you sending him to the Willapa when this isnt the Willapa? Thats the Elochoman

Can’t wait to get out there somewhere nxt week 🎣 fish on
Good luck!
Didn't even know that river was open until I saw this video. Lol I'll be out this week man. Good looks.
Good luck!
what river
Good luck. The rivers are going to get blown out. Hopefully, the rain won't be as bad as the forecast says
@ I’m definitely hoping the rain isn’t as bad as the forecast, I was hoping to get out again soon…
Plunk it when it blows out. Keep it close to the bank.
damn slaying them out there man congrats
Appreciate it!
@spooledfishingco no problem man I'm still grinding for my first one of the year
@ sometimes that 1st one can be difficult!
@spooledfishingco yeah already made a promise to myself that I'm releasing the first one of the year no matter how nice it is gotta get some good fish juju to start the season
Nice content, but camera can't focus on takedowns. It would be great to follow the bobber from start to hookset.
East fork above daybreak
@@DanielDuchesneau is it? Man I fished that river as a kid in the 80’s with my dad. Now I’m on the east coast and miss it dearly.
