Last Day in Japan, First Day in Canada | AliKhim Vlogs in Canada | Video 1.
It’s been quite long enough since the last time I made an update here on my TH-cam channel and a big one has finally come.
So, here are three points I would like to share.
First, this channel is renamed to AliKhim Vlogs (formerly Defodio).
I used to publish videos about my work and life in Japan.
Now, it has been renamed to AliKhim (we go by this pseudonym as a couple) since my partner has finally agreed to join me in making videos and interestingly, we opt to make videos about our new life here in Canada, which leads to the second point.
Second, on April 11th, 2024 to be exact, my partner and I flew to Canada and this video shows how the transition went on from our last day in Japan to our first day here in Canada. Many things have happened from prior moving out of Japan until today and in between, and that entails my third point.
Third, we are going to be sharing through this ‘renewed’ channel and our facebook page AliKhim Vlogs everything that had happened in the last eight months and all that is going to be happening in our lives here in this entirely different country (compared to the Philippines and Japan, at least).
If you have been in this channel and would like to stay, we really appreciate you!

All the best sa inyo dyan Sir and Ma'am. I'm one of your subscribers noon pa. Thanks sa mga tips mo about ALT in Japan. Hindi man ako nagiging ALT sa Japan pero grateful pa din sa opportunity na binigay sa akin. Waiting na rin ako sa COE ko as SSW Caregiver pa Japan. Good luck sa inyo dyan Sir:)
Don't worry, masuerte ka po lalo now kasi mas madali na lang sa'yo makapasok as ALT kapag nasa Japan kana. Pag nasa Japan kana at gusto mong maging ALT, maghanap ka lang ng Interac ALT sa area mo, express your intention to apply. Wait ka lang ng next hirinf date, most likely maha-hire ka. Another thing, di mo na need magbayad ng placement fee pag nasa Japan kana. Goodluck po. may mas magandang plano si Lord na piniprepare para sayo. 😇

Hi. I'm sorry but I am not in Japan anymore. Besides, I have never known a helper in Japan. I am not sure if there is such a job in Japan as a housekeeper. Have you tried searching online? thanks for the comment.

Agree ako jan. I was an ALT, too. Pero now nagchange ako to Ekaiwa (English conversation teacher). Better yung ekaiwa for me. Own opinion ko lang sir.
Medjo pahirapan pala if nasanay ka sa building connections Sensei. Dito naman sa Vietnam, ikaw yung main teacher tapos may assistant ka na Vietnamese to translate ang lesson mo if ever di nila ma gets. I will also share my life as a teacher sa Vietnam Sensei.

Curious po ako sa gas allowance mga hm po yun? Ano po computation ng distance per km?
depende po sa distance ng workplace mo from your residence. Sa farthest school ko 2 years ago (38 km away from apartment to school one way) ¥29,000-¥32,000 position allowance plus ¥5,000-¥7,000 monthly allowance ko. 6 schools ako nun. Now na 4km away ang farthest school ko, (7 schools, malapit lang ung iba) around ¥21,000 position allowance plus ¥1,000-¥2,500 naman ang monthly position+gas allowance ko. Di ko gets kung paano computation. 😅

Buddy pa ano yong soot mo as a teacher, do they require toxido or casual outfit pag enter mo ng school, sila ba mag provide din or bomili ka Jan or Dito na sa pinas?
may required po na dress code. All year except summer dapat naka-suits and tie ang mga lalaki. May dala po ako galing Pinas pero mas maganda din kung dito na lang bumuli, para sakin.

Sir, paano po kaya pag direct application sa school? I applied and was done with my demo. They replied na they were impressed with my presentation. Pero nung nagsisearch aq ng direct application sa school na process wala aq makita
Ideally, you can contact them after 1 week or two if wala pa pong updates. It is always good to do follow-up emails. never hesitate.
