This a trailer for The Walls Have Ears, a coming soon audio visual series that features conversations I have had with a variety of people local to the City of Derry. The interviews were part of a project, You have a beautiful battery inside, delivered in Derry during September and October 2025 and funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The project wouldn’t have been possible without the fantastic support I received from Féile Derry and In Your Space Circus.
The concept for this coming series, The Walls Have Ears, occurred to me right at the end of the project. In order to get a better understanding of the people and the place I had asked my interviewees to take me to five places in the city of great significance to them and to tell me why it meant so much to them. I realised how valuable the footage was and wondered how I might best collect it and share. Each episode will be 15 minutes, just about long enough to walk the circumference of those famous Derry walls, and also feature original music by me.
