I don't think it's a rod bearing cuz I just got fixed in my and it still does the same thing
Replacing the rod bearing an main bearings but it still does the same thing, what could be the problem?
You dont have to drop the Transmission, just take off the intake manifold and move the high pressure fuel pump to the side. I did it in 3 hours.
I just did one I just took of the pressure pump and it was easy compared to dropping the dumb transmission lol
@heribertoolivares6124 you can do it witout open the intake manifold too if you have a good and right tool too

@@hafidautorepair2793I have to repair my car on my own; I’m willing to try. Your video is very helpful. I don’t know the right tools to buy for the adjustment; besides the 27mm socket. Is this the MERCEDES BENZ ENGINE CAMSHAFT ALIGNMENT TOOL - M112 / M113 PETROL the correct tool to purchase?
I’m lost for sure at P0014 P0017 “Adaptation of camshaft position 'left exhaust' -1 deg Adaptation of camshaft position Left intake' -.50 deg

Hello. I have a W221 S550 (M273) and the check light is on. Logs P0016 and P0017 errors on ignition and they stay for a long time. Sometimes the check light goes out by itself and comes back on after a while. With live data, there are no errors and all indicators are normal. I decided to manually check the shaft marks as in your video, except on the M273 the shaft should be at 305 degrees. All 4 marks are in the center of the holes. That is, the circuit is in good condition. I have absolutely no problems with the car. The engine works great. Is it possible that the sensors have screwed up and are indemnifying for these errors?
Try to swap the sensors 1st . If the problem stay the same , make sure the oil level is good too because if less the chane tensioner will not push the chain guide good
@@hafidautorepair2793 These days I'll swap the location of the magnets with the ones on the right. And is it possible at the moment if these magnets are defective that they confuse the ECU and cause other problems?
Dude its the oil cost you all these fualts, if all cam are on position than its something else and mostly the oil type, make sure to get the correct one and don’t listen to dealers as the work like a robot without knowledge.

i think we can get it out from the top if you remove the air box I'm trying that !
Let me know how it goes. I have the same leak and I just removed my air box. Still not enough room, thinking of trying to find space if I take that plastic manifold thing off.
so if you remove the air box you will have to remove the manifold then the oil hosing , but its better to remove the air box and heat shield at the back, that solve everything for me @@luciousgreen7503

Took it to the shop. Paid about 600. They said they changed it without dropping the trans. Idk how they did it tho. But I bought every small reach tool there was, and i couldn't do it myself

i have the exact same year model and color car, my ac cycling on/off when weather outside above 95F. i want to bring it into the 'stealership' to have them check but i'm afraid they might sabotage the car, it got over 150K miles of trouble free...well, except for the ac.
I have a 2011 2.5 with only 1 VVT solenoid. I was wondering where is the filter that you showed located so i can clean mine i think you said it was located under the bearing????
If the camshaft bearing has no filter check the solenoid by it self or if the passage cloged
@hafidautorepair2793 I already cleaned and tested the solenoid to the battery I also checked the ohms and made sure there was voltage going to the harness. Thx for the information
Nice video, but.... brother, come on, just replace the chain and the cam adjusters. If does cost $4,000, 5,000, 3,000, you can give warranty and this is the job. This is so temporary, i just wonder how long you tell to customers is gonna last. Sorry for that comment, you have all my respect any way.
Thanks for this question , absolutely this is a temporary job it may drive till 40 to 50k . and if the balancer shaft is too much worn out, it may not fix the intake camshaft p0016 code .
